[history]
New Jersey Democrats could help Pennsylvania Republicans win the race for governor. If Democrats in New Jersey can replace their damaged candidate with a stronger one just weeks before the election, the GOP should do the same here.
Plan B is for state Attorney General Mike Fisher, the Republican gubernatorial nominee, to listen to the voters instead of his handlers. Anything is possible in politics.

It bothers me that Fisher isn't attacking this classic liberal Democratic in the mold of Richard Daley.

I have said it over and over in other posts. Fisher can't speak. He has no personality and is a dolt.
Yes, I will vote for Fisher but he is a loser.
BTW, buzzyboop, thank you for a great article. Oh, how I wish there was a way to keep Rendell out. Get ready for 4 Philadelphia Rocky (play music from the Godfather in background now) years.
The PARSC should have known when their canidate's name began with FISH.
I'm a hard nosed Repub PO'ed with the idiots at the top decision to run a Mackrell.

Number 1: Fisher is no fool. The same people said that Fisher had no chance to stop the Hershey sale. He can't speak? Have you ever seen him? He is a very competent person, and his personality is very appealing to most Pennsylvania voters.
Number 2: He should not, SHOULD NOT, do what that article suggests and campaign like some rabid conservative. Fisher needs to get about 40% in those moderate Republican suburbs to win. He is almost there according to the Mason-Dixon poll.
Number 3: In the Center and the West, Fisher is underperforming, but if he were to get the 60%+ in the center of the state that all Republicans do, then he will be either even or ahead. Fisher can easily win this with a strong ad campaign in the center. He and Jane Earll should do personal ads in the west.
Number 4: Instead of criticizing Fisher and calling him an idiot, maybe you should start helping the Fisher campaign with flyers, etc. I'm a Pennsylvania Republican from Northampton County, and I'm tired of seeing my fellow Keystone Republicans tearing Fisher down rather than Rendell.
If you want Rendell to win, keep up the good work. You and Barbara Hafer are two of a kind.

Who did that editorialist want Republicans to nominate? Another Ken Krawchuk?

Republicans are grumbling about Fisher being a lousy campaigner. But, I see more Rendell signs than Fisher signs in Republican Delaware County.
The alleged Republican machine in Delco could use an oil change.
Very few people appear to be doing anything for Fisher. The local politicians, running for state and local offices, appear to be taking care of themselves and that's it.
Running against a turd like Rendell should be an easy victory.
