That would be the one he's referring to. I'm worried about that seat myself, Bowling has to be outmatched in the $$ department. Alas, I wish my vote would matter in a House race, but I'm stuck in the perpetually Dem 5th (Clement's balliwick). Have you seen any polling data for the 4th ?

I just donated to Bowling's race. And no, I have not seen any polling. I do know it was gerrymandered to be more favorable to the demonRats. We will see.

I have spoken to State Senators Boyce and Johnson, and neither could tell me where Bradley stood on anything.

The fix to this is a statute requiring a candidate to get over 50% of the vote to win an election. They have a runoff if the 50% threshhold is not met.

However, and unfortunately, Jeb Bradley has the potential to become another Charlie Bass...and isn't that a shame.

If at least not 50%, even 40% would do...

Bass may be too much to hope for, I'm more worried his votes will be more like Bass's ex-con(g) opponent's husband, Peni$ Swett, were and *gasp !* a potential "Senator" Jeanne Shaheen would be. Perish the thought... As I said before, Bob Smith needs to put the kibosh on any potential rallies of his supporters to Shaheen the Sharlatan (sic) so he can position himself to make a comeback for that House seat against Bradley in an '04 primary. Well, that's assuming we don't have a Congresswoman Clark to deal with...

The only polling I have seen from this race was an early September GOP poll giving Davis a 40-36 lead.

I have not seen anything except he'll be voting like Barney Frank on all the social issues...have not heard anything on women in combat, flag amendment, gays in military, vouchers for DC schools, etc. Nobody apparently asked this guy anything...don't have a clue why he got elected.

Thanks. I've seen very little in regards to this race, and the same for the 6th district, too (which, had the lines been drawn fairly, should've ousted Bart Gordon, who is now in a more Republican seat than the 4th is currently), for which I've seen nothing. I can't even name who Gordon's opponent is without checking Politics1. This should've been the year we got a 6-3 GOP edge and now we're going to be at 4-5 Dem if Davis prevails despite a blatant majority of votes going for GOP candidates (just like our legislature)...

It's like we said before, he slipped under the radar screen when all the conservatives split the vote (and in the N.E., you're going to automatically have at least 1/4th to 1/3rd the vote being for liberals in GOP primaries). Is it just me, or does this guy LOOK like some old-time Irish Boston pol ?
