There are some great radio ads put out by the Republican challenger to Congressman Jim McDermott, Carol Cassady. To listen to them go to:

Below is the ad copy.
Baghdad Jim
Chris: Jim McDermott says the President of the United States will lie to the American people. When he met with Saddam Hussein's emissaries he said the President would mislead the American people. McDermott charecterized Iraq as a "peace-loving" nation whose good intentions must be taken at face value.
In Jim McDermott's Bizzarro World, Saddam Hussein is a truthful, peace loving Dictator and George W. Bush is a lying war monger.
Dump Baghdad Jim. Vote for Carol Cassady.
Paid for by Cassady for Congress, Connie King, Treasurer.
Field Trip King
Carol:
Hello, my name is Carol Cassady. I'm running for Congress against Jim McDermott in the 7th District. I am neither a politician nor an attorney. I'm a retired teacher with over 25 years experience. I took my students on a lot of field trips in those days, although we never made it to Iraq, but as a Congressman Jim McDermott is the Field Trip King. Congress is a full-time job not a junket. If elected I'll take care of business at home.

Ringggggg
Sound effect: Ringggggg. Sound of phone being picked up.
Womans voice: Hello...
Mans voice: Hi, this is John...
Womans voice: Oh John....wait a minute, do you think we're being recorded? What if Jim McDermott gets a hold of this?
Mans voice: Not this time. He's in Iraq.
Another mans voice: Congressman Jim McDermott spent over $400, 000 denying his involvement in illegal wiretapping. He lied about it to voters, laughed about it with his attorney. Now he says he's guilty but he's not sorry.
Carol: I'm Carol Cassady, I'm running for Congress against Jim McDermott. I'm glad we have laws that protect our private conversations. If you value your privacy, vote for someone who'll respect it.

Voting Day
Male Voice: September, 2002. Shortly before his trip to Iraq Congressman Jim McDermott gets 77% of the vote in the primary election.
Womans voice: October, 2002. In a one man election Saddam Hussein gets 100% of the vote, an 11 million to 0 margin.
Mans voice: Unlike Iraq people in America have a choice. Carol Cassady is running against Jim McDermott in the 7th District.
It's America, consider your choices.
