It is important to understand how false the "Opinion Polls" that "The Media" uses in their broadcasts really are. I submit that the usual quote of "3 to 5 percent error" is an error of sampling PRECISION. The error for ACCURACY is at least 60 percent. My reasoning is as follows: 1.) "The Media" asks only those people who THEY think are likely to vote. 2.) According to the pollster Zogby, 60 percent of those asked refuse to be polled.
The purpose of this post is to solicit the ACTUAL opinions of FREEPERS as to what the reasons are for voting in the November, 2002 USA Election. Send a message to the political parties, candidates, voters, non-voters, whomever! Now is the time to register YOUR true opinion!
Please don't misunderstand me...I am not advocating that we throw up our hands and leave. Always take your best shot, and remember that your vote DEFINITELY makes a difference. I will still vote, and if there was a candidate that I thought I could support I would work dilligently for that candidate, regardless of where he is.
This time around though, although I sent a generous donation to Nancy Johnson (RINO-CT), my heart just wasn't in it. I almost ended up a poll worker in East Hartford, but I wasn't impressed with that candidate either. And I offered my assistance in the fledgling campaign of an independent, until I had a conversation with him and realized he was just a retread democrat. So I have been active, and I intend to stay active. I even offered to spend the day in NJ today helping out the Forrester folks. They never responded to my offer.
The whole key today is VOTE VOTE VOTE, regardless of where you are.
