She was an odds-on favorite to win in the first balloting until she began a precipitous fall about 10 days before the primary. Apparently feeling the heat generated by her campaign's downward slide, Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu now says she wants to offer a $100 billion payroll tax cut.

Mary is going to lose. Her campaign slogan is: I usually vote with GWB and Lousiana needs an "independent" voice.

Here's a Democrat saying "I am a Republican except when I am an Independent." That ought to bring the black vote out in the rain!

Let us take a *wild* guess here, shall we?
"The Times" is...(continued below)
----------(*taken from the www.AP.org site)--------

1. Who owns The Associated Press?

The Associated Press is a not-for-profit cooperative, [read: 501C TAX FREE organization] which means it is owned by its 1,550 U.S. daily newspaper members. They elect a board of directors that directs the cooperative. [read: they're highly organized & coordinated ALL working off the same script.]

2. What is the reach of The Associated Press?

More than a billion people every day read, hear or see AP news. [read: a LOT of brainwashed people; moreover, WE -- the TAXPAYERS -- are picking up the tab for this sleezy bunch of Liberal-Socialists to RUIN the nation, eh?]

In the United States alone, AP serves 1,550 newspapers and 5,000 radio and television stations. Add to that the more than 8,500 newspaper, radio and television subscribers in 112 countries, and you'll have some idea of AP's reach." [read: by god they're *proud* of their saturation; so, how's *that* for a poke in the ol' eye?]

(continued from above)...*one* of the 1,500 contributing members of the "Not For Profit" 501C cooperative a.ka, The Associated Press??

"But where is the line between a legitimate idea and a disingenuous campaign ploy?"

Where the truth stops & the lies begin, I should imagine.
Same place it's always been.
Geshhhhh.

Of course, we'll just rely on this mediot sycophant (& a thousand just like 'em) to tell us all -- precisely -- where this imaginary point exists.
Right?

...using CFR as their monopoly on what'll be considered truth.

The author managed to omit an important point about the voting machines. Mrs. Terrell had established an independent commission to look at all of the options and select machines. She followed the recommendation of the commission in purchasing these machines.

I'll also mention that I vote in Ascension Parish. In August, I attended a Republican meeting where the machines were on display and we could play with them. (I voted for Abe Lincoln.) They should have gotten a good test at similar events. On election day, I voted early in the morning, but at that time, people were still very happy with the machines. I never heard of any problems later.

I think Terrell is going to win. I've been encouraged by her boldness in standing against abortion. She should really push that point. Not only is it a good idea (and even good politics) in Louisiana, but it shows she stands for something, unlike Landrieu, who skirts the issue. Pro-abortion Landrieu looks more and more like Max Cleland, arrogant and bumptious to the end, but ultimately defeated by the better guy.

Go Terrell!

I passed through an intersection on the way to the movies and I saw some well-wishers waving Suzie Terell signs. I also got a little campaign literature in the mail a few days ago. Plus I heard a Terell ad on the radio blasting Landrieu for voting against the Boy Scouts and pointing out that Mary Contrary only voted for the homeland security after the election. Looks like things are heating up:)

Wonderful news! Mary Landrieu needs to be revealed and exposed for what she really is: a false representative of the people of Louisiana. Do you think she'd proudly declare to her fellow Louisianans (of any race) that she voted against the Boy Scouts? Unveil her lies and deceit!

Go Terrell, and may God help you because of your views.

Most people would rather keep $14.71 than send it to the Internal Revenue Service

Yeah, but the money wouldn't be going to the IRS anyway. It would be going to the SSA (Social Security Administration). This is what they mean by "payroll tax cut". Therefore they will be reducing the funding of Social Security, I thought that "not touching" Social Security was the 3rd rail of American politics. Does she comment on how she will pay for this reduction and has anyone asked AARP and the seniors how they fell about reducing the Social Security Trust Fund?

Her campaign slogan is: I usually vote with GWB and Lousiana needs an "independent" voice.

What is unspoken is that she only votes with Dubya on the easy, uncontroversial votes that even find little Tommy Daschle voting with the President. But on the votes that really count, she votes with the RATs. And there is nothing independent about her. She votes the way Tommy Daschle tells her to. Sometimes when Tommy doesn't need her vote, he lets Mary cast her vote for Louisiana. But this doesn't happen often!

Landrieu is a Daschle sock puppet, nothing more. He has his hand up her back and moves her lips.

I think you have answered the question, Landru. I can't believe that the author asked such a stupid question with regard to Mary's taxcutting idea. Is there any possibility that Mary's tax proprosal is not a "disingenous campaign ploy," when she never mentioned it until after she failed to win the November 5th election. Furthermore, little Mary has earned an "F" rating for "Big Spender" from the National Taxpayers Union. And she thinks we should believe that she has suddenly become a taxcutter. Please! THIS IS A DISINGENUOUS CAMPAIGN PLOY. Mary is a liberal phoney!

% VOTING POSITION OF AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE UNION-

Mary Landrieu (D-LA) 14% Lifetime Average

She votes the LIBERAL position over 80% of the time. Another solid left-wing 'RAT trying to PRETEND to be "conservative" and "independant" around election time. Fortunately, less and less voters seem dumb enough to fall for the old ploy that southern Democrats "are more conservative than most Republicans". The Dixiecrats may continue to repeat this lie, but freepers know the truth: she's far MORE liberal than even Jeffords.

I totally agree. I agree that Mary Landrieu IS more liberal than Jeffords. And I think most Louisianians are not falling for her campaign lies. I just heard a local political analyst say that "momentum is on Suzie Terrell's side." This is good news, but it is what I have also sensed.

Why?
Look who wrote this representing, "The P-U Times," eh?

Outwardly sounded pretty good, eh??
Until he drug our candidate down into the mud to stand alongside the Liberal-Socialist LIAR.

"Equivocation" maybe??
*Just* a poorly scripted stealth smear against our girl??
~Or both?

I know what my gut is telling me.

...how about yours?
