hi, I have been out of town this weekend, but am catching up, ... sort of.. Only thing I recall if not answered, is that, well on second thought, I really don't remember how but heard I think from on the NE that he did wash his truck when he came back. I am not sure though if I read that right back then.

Thanks runningbear. There was the Feb 25th NE article that said there was no salt water in Scott's boat but that the truck (acording to preliminary DNA reports) had tested positive for Laci's blood. Then there was the KTVU report which denyed the information from the NE article, titled,"Modesto Police Deny Enquirer Report.Link follows.

I think it was all the controversy about the salt water and the boat which instigated all the discussion of wheither or not Scott had washed the boat. Does this sound right or was there a news article which claimed he had. On a side note, evidently the type of boat Scott owned, has a plug in the bottom,so if washed all the fluids from the boat would wash right out.

NE: LACI'S FINAL MINUTES
HOW HER HUSBAND KILLED HER- ACCORDING TO THE COPS
BY DON GENTILE, DAVID WRIGHT,
MICHAEL HANRAHAN and ALAN SMITH

1. Pregnant Laci Peterson was punched in the stomach and
beaten to death by her cheating husband Scott.

2. Police now believe Scott killed Laci on Dec 23rd, not on Christmas Eve, the
day she was reported missing. Cops say Scott then made a secret middle of the
night trip from his home in Modesto to dump her body in the bay.

3. If Scott was to marry Amber, he told her he did not want to be a father, and he
would have a vasectomy. Police say he wanted to be free of responsibilty.

4. Police think Scott planned to kill Laci and came up with the idea to make it
look like she'd been abducted while he was fishing 90 miles away. Scott did not
realize, however that Laci's disappearance would make headlines around the
world and he'd be forced to feed lie after lie to her family, the media and police.

5. On DEC. 23, Laci and Scott went to a hairstyling shop, where her
sister Amy worked. Amy clipped Scott's hair and talked to Laci,
who did not reveal she had found out about Scott's affair.
She was trying to work things out since Scott said he had ended
the affair which was a lie. Laci and Scott returned home.

6. At 8:30pm Laci spoke with her mother Sharon. Laci told her they
would be over at 6 for X-mas dinner, the next evening. Police believe
she was killed in her home following that phone call after she
got ready for bed that night.

7. During a search of the Peterson house in Feb. police took Laci's sister,
Amy, to the house to help identify any missing items. "Amy told them a set of
maternity night clothes Laci owned were missing".

8. Police believe Scott may have pushed Laci into an argument, or else Laci
accused Scott of lying. Police know violence errupted in the kitchen, a mop
with flecks of blood were found, which they think he used to clean up blood and
vomit. She had been punched in the stomach hard enough to make her throw up.

9. The cops are trying to determine if Laci was bound and gagged,
choked and tied to a red kitchen chair before she was killed.
"There are rub marks on the chair in the kitchen that could
have been made from a rope." Laci did suffer before she died.

10. After committing the murder, Scott but his wife into his pick-up truck
under cover of darkness Dec. 23. Scott then drove to his warehouse.
He stuffed 5 foot 1 Laci into one of the three 55 gallon drums he'd
ordered, packed it with 3 cement anchors and covered the drum with it's lid.'

11. Cops found out from his computer he learned to make cement anchors.
Scott made 5 cement anchors but could only account for 2 of them.

12. By 1:30 am or so on X-mas Eve, after an hour drive, Scott exited Interstate
80 at Gilman Street, headed for the marina. He passed the Radison Hotel on
the marina grounds, drove slowly to a single lane road that took him through
Cesar Chavez Park and ended at a parking lot by the rock strewn slope that
leads to the water of San Francisco Bay. At high tide, Scott pushed the drum
containing Laci's body down the rocky slope directly into the water..where it
drifted out to sea with the tide before slowly sinking from the weight of
the anchors. He then drove home.

13. Scott left his house again in the morning, he got his boat at the warehouse
where it was stored, and then went back to the Berkeley Marina. As he left the
house that morning he was seen by a neighbor carrying a bundle wrapped in a
blue tarp. Police believe he was removing evidence from the crime scene.

14. Scott wanted to be seen that morning on the way to go fishing to help
create the illusion he was headed off to fish and was miles away from his
home. But Scott really did not go fishing. Test results showed the boat
had not been in salt water.

15. Police have not yet determined if Scott chopped off his wife's
head and right arm and left leg so that she would fit into the drum
or if the limbs and head became seperated through decomposition.

16. The infant had been expelled from Laci's body through a phenomenon
known as "coffin birth". The police believe the build up of these gases also
blew the lid off the drum causing both bodies to come to the surface. Police say
sea crabs and other fish where chewing on Laci's remains, eventually freeing
her from the anchors and allowed her to come to shore.
