Homosexual Agenda Promoted by Churches and Schools
The 700 Club ^ | 10.17.03 | Paul Strand

In San Francisco public schools, there's an actual lesson plan for teaching first-graders, even kindergartners, about homosexuality.

CBN.com – WASHINTON -- Homosexual activists put together a long-term plan some 16 years ago to convert America -- not to any particular religion -- but to a warm embrace of homosexuality. This is an account of how gays deliberately manipulated the levers of power and influence in America. In their 1989 book "After the Ball" two homosexual authors laid out an agenda to turn America "gay-friendly."

Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen said homosexuals must brainwash the American public by using all the levers of power and influence, like the legislatures, the courts and the media.

Another important point of attack in this agenda was universities and the public school system, to capture the minds of young people in their schools.

Every year in Los Angeles, the entire month of June is Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, and it's used to promote homosexuality. Ministers will be brought in to the schools from carefully selected churches, and they'll talk about and distribute booklets containing Scriptures that suggest homosexuality is no sin -- in fact, that God approves of it. Some of the material that has been spotted in these schools say that heroes like King David and Abraham Lincoln were homosexuals.

A top officer in one gay education group put it this way: "If we do our jobs right, we will raise a whole generation of children who will reject the claims of the religious right."

In San Francisco public schools, there's an actual lesson plan for teaching first-graders, even kindergartners, about homosexuality. In one district, gay parents are invited to come in and read to students from approved books like 'Gloria Goes to Gay Pride.' And in a town north of here -- Novato -- students are required to attend a presentation by a gay group, in which there's a skit where a little boy dresses up in his mommy's high heels and then reads this poem about those who disapprove of him:

'So let them say I'm like a girl. What's wrong with being like a girl? And let them jump and jeer and whirl; they are swine, I am the pearl. And let them laugh and let them scream. They'll be beheaded when I am queen... When I rule the world in my mommy's high heels.'

Another point Kirk and Madsen push is to put gays in a sympathetic light.

Their book advises: "Portray gays as victims of circumstance and oppression, not as aggressive challengers...Gays must be portrayed as victims in need of protection so that straights will be inclined by reflex to assume the role of protector."

And they say gays should be should be shown as a minority, born to their sexual orientation as much as to their skin color, because, as Kirk and Madsen put it:

"To suggest in public that homosexuality might be chosen is to open the can of worms labeled 'moral choice' and 'sin' and give the religious intransigents a stick to beat us with. Straights must be taught that it is as natural for some persons to be homosexual as it is for others to be heterosexual."

Ben Bull, chief counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, a pro-family group, said, "Suddenly those who choose homosexual behavior...sodomy...are victims. It's crazy."

But much of the public seems to have bought this. Take Stephanie Miller, a former Los Angeles liberal talk-show host.

She said, "I personally don't think you can change it, probably anymore than you can change your skin color."

Former homosexual D.L. Foster is now an Atlanta pastor and he definitely disagrees. He says people are born with their skin color, but not sexual preferences.

"...(N)o child is born with any knowledge of sexual activity, let alone homosexual activity. That's a learned behavior. I call it an assumed identity. I chose that identity, I chose that behavior out of rebellion to God."

But have homosexuals won their fight to be seen as a persecuted minority?

One of the main reason schools say they push accepting homosexuality so much is to fight rampant discrimination against gays in schools.

Administrators frequently blame such discrimination for the higher suicide rate of homosexual students.

And look at the culture, starting with movies.

Film idol Tom Hanks' AIDS-afflicted gay character in "Philadelphia" was portrayed as kind and noble, but cruelly thrown out by his own bigoted law firm.

And in "Boys Don't Cry," cross-dressing Hilary Swank is shot by a redneck, just because she wanted to be a boy and love a girl; a crime that had echoes of homosexual Matthew Shepherd's savage murder on a fence outside Laramie, Wyoming in 1998.

The homosexual movement that uses the rainbow flag as its banner, often invokes Shepherd's name in its cause and to advance its agenda.

Stephanie Miller said, "If you want to call fighting for equal rights and the same rights as everyone else has an agenda...then sure, they have an agenda. They'd like to not be beaten up and hung on a fence post in Wyoming. Is that an agenda?"

One gay politician invoked Shepherd when conservative Christians presented a plea by Jerry Falwell for San Francisco's homosexuals to repent.

San Francisco supervisor Mark Leno said, "They're whipping up anti-gay sentiment...and it wasn't lost on me or anybody else in town...that this is exactly a year to the day of the death and murder of Matthew Shepherd."

In their manifesto, Kirk and Madsen also said homosexuals and their allies must go after religion. they must convert churches to putting God's stamp of approval on homosexuality.

Former homosexual Jonathan Hunter of Desert Stream Ministries believes that's because gays desperately want acceptance from God.

"What every soul wants is to be blessed," Hunter said. "And blessing really only comes from God. Be blessed and be told to thrive: 'be fruitful and multiply.' And they're saying 'well, we want that, too.' Ultimately the soul is crying out for that. So that's why they're going to the church."

Kirk and Madsen also insist gays and their allies must attack and belittle religious believers who oppose this blessing of homosexuality.

The book says: "We can undercut the moral authority of homophobic churches by portraying them as antiquated backwaters badly out of step with the times...

At a later stage of the media campaign for gay rights, it will be time to get tough with remaining opponents. To be blunt, they must be vilified....We intend to make the anti-gays look so nasty that average Americans will want to dissociate themselves from such types."

An attitude recently demonstrated by gay Episcopal priests who put down Christians for resisting the ordination of homosexuals or who dare quote Scriptures that condemn homosexuality.

Rev. Susan Russell of Claiming the Blessing said, "None of us want anybody to leave this church. But if someone's criteria for being included is that someone else is excluded, then they're the one that's making the choice to leave."

And Michael Hopkins of Integrity USA said, "What the Bible says is truth, but truth that always has to be explored and wrestled with and taken in the whole context of the biblical story."

But some Christians, a few right inside the Episcopal clergy, are still standing up against church moves to legitimize homosexuality.

Rev. Richard Crocker said, "It attacks the word of God. It declares sin to be holy. And as it does that, it essentially undermines the salvation of Jesus, and it undermines the message we have for the rest of the world."

But laws in Canada and Sweden have already made it a hate crime to condemn homosexuality.

And some Christian activists warn that gay groups and their allies want the same situation in the U.S.

Imagine that: you, your pastor, your church friends might someday get arrested for declaring that homosexuality is a sin.

Ex-homosexual Hunter says Bible-believing Christians have to fight back now:

"Get out and vote. We're a big bloc of voters and we can make a difference. (But) I don't know at this point whether the tide can be stemmed," he said.

Bull agrees: "They believe they have the high ground, they're shooting downhill, and Christians are on the defensive."

Twilight Zone alert.

God help us all. We must protect our babies from these sexual predators, people who are not an ethnic group, but are people who choose perverse sexual behavior.

Lately, homosexuals are trying to propagandize an image that they are all loving couples committed to their 'life partner' with the goal of raising families. Their only goal is equality.

It is so obvious. The "we're here, we're queer, and we're in your faaace" strategy has been abandoned in favor of a kinder, gentler approach. I call it INFILTRATION and SUBVERSION of traditional America. Even religion. It is obvious. Unfortunately, they are conning many people.

I agree. They are gaining ground...just using different methods to achieve the same radical goals. It is a war, make no mistake. They are relentless and will either succeed or be stopped forcefully.

And just who will we vote for? No one who is anti-homosexual will ever get party support. As Mclintock can attest.

I'll make you a "prophecy" here. Within the next several years, in many states there will be a push to use government force to silence those who speak against homosexual behavior. It has started in places like Ireland and Canada, and it is coming here.

Once several states pass it, a monumental battle will begin to pass it at the federal level.

Don't be so sure. Get a good communicator and a lot of the country-club Party types will fall into line just to be close to power.

And, in the end, if the Republican PArty decides to be AWOL in the cultural battle (IMHO the RP hasn't yet made up it's collective mind) then a new party will be formed.

And after that, the act of thinking it will be considered a hate crime (or saying it privately).

These people are statists, and realize that totalitarian control is their best chance for power. They want REVENGE against those who oppose them. You can see the hatred and contempt that they have for not only Bush, but for people who do not worship their false gods. I do not see why moderate Dims defend this insanity.

This is such a key point. When people say "I vote for the person, not the party" they have no idea how a representative legislature works. We need to tell people, Go ahead and vote for the good ol' farmer boy Democrat from your home town, but his first act will be to vote for a Democrat speaker or President pro tem who will then control the entire process.

Unfortunately the Democrat party is totally controlled by the Perverted Left. The leader will appoint committee chairs like Sheila Kuehl, and Mark Leno, and Christine Kehoe who will then control the legislative agenda for the next two years.

Our state isn't that liberal, its just that the majority party is controlled by the most extreme elements of the Far Left.
