...Thanks for posting this -- wonder why this wasn't brought out before -- sounds like someone has been doing some digging...I just wanted to say that this has been brought up before (and dismissed as a straw argument). I saw Newdow on Fox News and he came right out and said that it was he who had the problem with the pledge, not his daughter.
People started saying, what the heck, if his daughter doesn't mind then he must have lied when he said she was injured.
I tried to explain in my post above that Newdow can legally claim an injury to his daughter if in his opinion she is injured, regardless of what his daughter says.

Well put. Thank you.

I don't know, but this guy has deceived the court and his lawsuit should not be allowed to stand.

How about charging him with the entire cost of the legal effort, including the cost to the government to defend this.

I think I have read somewhere that despite his elevated and lofty education as MD and JD he has not paid child support to the childs mother..

...I think I have read somewhere that ...he has not paid child support...I don't think this is true. He's currently in a child-support battle with his daughter's mother. I can't find anywhere on the 'net that suggests he's a "deadbeat dad."
