Its good to see the light at the end of the tunnel with just one more volume to go. It's been an educational, inspirational and fun experience, but literally all of my nights, spare time and days off have been spent with the series since early 2001.
(BTW, I don't count time at Klamath in mid-2001 as "time off"...LOL!)
Anyhow, we're down to one more novel and it's going to be an exciting and faith promoting conclusion.
FYI, I have ncluded several inspiring USCG scenes in the books.
As I told Tom above, it's been a great experience and now I am down to one last novel to write to finish it.
One more novel to go! Whew!
A lot of people listen to the lame stream media and so they are not very educated on Terri's family or their side oif the story...so we been educating them.
Almost everyone in this part of the country, once they do even a little research, are appalled.
I've posted quite a bit to the threads.
Heck, in my book series, I have a major character who gets severely injured in battle on the Island of Diego Garcia and receives a MOH while in a coma in the hospital back in the states. In book three it goes into detail how he comes out of it, and how his family hung on and stood by him, holding his hand daily for months, refusing to consider "terminating" him.
He comes out of it and rehabilitates and then goes back into the fight.
This excerpt refers back to happenings that took place in Volume I in 2006 when we lost the airbase. In Volume IV, over three years later, we take it back.
The 159th is a real outfit and using them as the unit to man security at the base after we take it back is the result of a direct request by the actual SFS and 1st-shirt of that outfit who have been following the series.
I'm certain of that, Jeff. It's still a marvel to me how people can put so many thoughts down on paper and tie them all together in a book. I used to be a writer/reporter and always had difficulty putting more than ten paragraphs together with any continuity of thought. I've edited one very long novel once and found that to be challenging enough. Hope your books continue to gain popularity. -- Best -- Dave

You picked a good time to read the 1st three in the series.
Numebr four is going to come out about the time you finish with number 3!
