I remember that, he pointed his finger at a fly, said ZOT, and it dropped right out of the air.

Very likely the first Zot, I agree.

om Posten played a university professor who discovered an Egyptian relic in his back yard. Painted on the relic was an ancient incantation that bestowed upon the sayer the power to kill merely by pointing at someone and saying the secret word, Zot.

I always thought it was used first in the Johnny Hart B.C. comicstrip, for whenever the lightning struck somebody for whatever reason.
