There are only two decent Episcopal Seminaries - Trinity in Pittsburgh and Nashotah House in Wisconsin. In 70's VTS (Vrginia Theological Seminary) would have been OK, but no more.

Actually, I don't think this guy wants me, or anyone who disagrees with him, anywhere near him... Tolerance to a "progressive liberal" is a one-way street: They can do whatever they want and WE have to tolerate it.

I know that I am going to get flamed on this one but, I think the whole gay issue should just be abandoned IMHO. I mean I think we'd all do ourselves some justice if we maybe applied some of Barry Goldwater's (god rest his soul) conservatism here. If it is not an invasion of your rights to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness; let it go. Let the bashing of me begin.....

This guy Gorman is what I call a "gobbledygook talker." He says a lot of stuff but it makes no sense.

Oh thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who had no idea what this guy was saying! I also think we are lucky that we don't!

Very true, but I truly believe that when confronted by St. Peter at the gates of Paradise, one will not be judged by their sexual preference. I truly believe that it is all about whether you accept god and his son into your life. I used to be totally opposite on this issue. It was only when my cousin came out and when I became friends with a few members of the gay community that I realized one's character is what determines their place in my life, not their sexual orientation.

I know that I am going to get flamed on this one but,

My own views are varied and multi-tiered. But one example: Jesus told his followers to go forth and preach the good news. He did not tell them to go off and change the roman government to fit his views. Perhaps he felt if they spent more time changing the souls of men, man's government would not be needed as folks would do what is right and just from their hearts and not from fear of breaking a law.
