Article XII of the Florida Constitution provides several ways to amend the state constitution. I don't think all of them require a popular vote (although I don't know whether it's possible to accomplish any of them before November of next year). Does the vote have to be in November? Or can an earlier special election be scheduled?

If there were a special election, can you imagine the tears of liberal outrage from the likes of Janet Reno? The liberals would be lambasting the "expense" of such a special election all to keep a "vegetable" alive who does not know that she is even "living." Larry King would probably have a show to demonstrate to how much Terri has "cost" the state of FL thus far and how it would be "humane" to "let your soul escape her dying body." Liberals would eat up that kind of rhetoric up.
