I was wondering about the tunnels. If they're only closing them now, didn't he have time to get to one of the other Capitol buildings through them?

Haven't been there since way before 9/11, but it used to be that the only metal detectors were at the outside entrances...meaning you could get between all three House office buildings, the Capitol and the Senate office buildings without going thru a checkpoint again.
