Years ago, I read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" which speculated that Christ was married, and not only married, had children. That's the reason for the special, I think...that somewhere there's a "bloodline" of Christ...living decendents.

The book asserts that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife —... — and that she fled Jerusalem with his child following his crucifixion.

In HBHG she fled to what is now modern France, I believe?
