How does everyone feel about an advance directive, are you prepared? Until now my husband and I have just done it verbally and I don't want him caught in the middle of this.

My daughter and I have written instructions, although, we need to do more research to make sure all the bases are covered. Even when there are no other family members who would be involved, the attitude of the medical community must be considered.

IMO, having a written advance directive protects the person you entrust with your care as well as you.
