... invite counselors and experts...

In my world, the Constitution prohibits cruel and unusual punishment.

When I was in the USAF during Vietnam there was a group of about five or six AF wives on one particular base I was on whose husbands were off on TDY (temporary duty) assignments elsewhere who would hold regular "parties" for some of the troops. It was not all that uncommon for some wives (especially the younger ones) to have "dalliances" while their husbands were away. Anyway, OSI (Office of Special Investigations) got wind of it and those wives were booted off-base and their husbands contacted in very quick order.

Milken Community High School Dedicates New State-of-the-Art Campus

September, 1998

Nation's Largest Non-Orthodox Jewish High School Officially Opens Doors to New Facility Regarded as Nationwide Model for Learning Technology

The Milken Community High School, a school of the Stephen S. Wise Temple, held a ceremony on Sunday, September 13, 1998, at 2:00 p.m., to dedicate its new, state-of-the-art campus, located in the hills above West Los Angeles.

Special guests at the dedication included Milken Family Foundation co-founders Lowell and Michael Milken; keynote speaker Dr. David Baltimore, Nobel Prize-winning biologist and president of the California Institute of Technology; and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski.

"The Milken Community High School represents a unique opportunity for Jewish youth," said Lowell Milken, president of the Milken Family Foundation. "Not only will the school offer them a rigorous secular education using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities; it will also instill in them the character, faith and culture that are such integral components of their Jewish heritage."

The Milken Family Foundation provided the lead gift for the high school and has been joined by several organizations and individuals that have made significant contributions to the cost of building the school.

The Milken Community High School is the largest liberal Jewish high school in the United States. Founded in 1990, the school's first home was a handful of dorm rooms on the campus of the University of Judaism. Since then, the school has grown rapidly from 160 students in 1990 to its present population of 640.

The ceremony, which took place at the school's Arts and Sports Pavilion, also included a reception and tours of the new campus.

The facility is unique in the nation because of the full integration of technology. Every classroom on the new campus is wired for the Internet, and all faculty are being provided with a laptop computer, professional instructional technology training, up-to-date software and extensive technical support. The facilities also include fully-equipped science laboratories, an auditorium/gymnasium with flexible seating, and a broadcast studio.

In addition, the school is equipped with a beit midrash, an assembly room that can also be used for study and prayer, and which contains two versions of the Torah—one kosher, the other an artifact from the Holocaust.

Classes began at the new campus on September 8, 1998.

The next phase of construction on the new campus also commenced on the day of the dedication. The academic hall, which will complete the four-building campus, will contain fifteen additional state-of-the-art classrooms, additional science labs, and departmental offices.

"Just as Israel is second only to the United States in startup new technology companies, so the Milken Community High School will be a nationwide model for learning technology combined with advanced Judaic studies," said Rabbi Isaiah Zeldin, senior rabbi and founder.

I assume this is not what the "largest liberal Jewish high school in the United States" had in mind when calling itself a "Nationwide Model for Learning Technology."

Have you ever noticed how many porn videos seem to have been shot in a dorm somewhere?

I mean, at least that's what I've been told.

...by people I don't really know very well or hang out with.
