Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.
He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.
Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

National security tops partisanship; though, truth be told, the Dems refuse to see it that way. Fine...then it's up to US to go into action. Just spewing, on this forum, does absoluetly NO good; take pen in hand and write to the Senators...ALL of them ! Correct on all counts

I heard Sean talk about this, on the way home from voting and then grocery marketing. I had missed the beginning, so after a bit, I dashed to FR, to find out just WHAT I had missed. That's what FR is good for. Now, NOW , for FR to actually fulfill its true purpose, ALL of us must snail mail and call the Senators ASAP and get family & friends, not on FR, to do so as well !

Senator Graham from Florida who never lost an election, began his campaign for president making accusations about "Intel". He may not be on this committee but he does get to see alot of "intel". From the first day he announced that he wanted to be president he was coming from the angle of "intel".
I always wondered if the reason that so many "Senators" were running for President that it was orchestrated by Hillary. Also I think that what they are really after is what they don't know. Reason for IC is to get to the things that they don't know.
I say this because of the news yesterday that Saddam was promised by Russia and France they would stop President Bush in the UN from going to war. Now bjclinton was out promoting "blix" and inspections prior to the UN passing that resolution. SOUNDS LIKE A LEFT WING GLOBAL CONSPIRACY.

You know what? This is exactly what was done to Tony Blair re the the David Kelly/WMD/yellowcake mess.Yes it is. And at the time that issue was being rolled out over there (before Kelly killed himself), the State of the Union/Wilson yellowcake issue was being rolled out over here.
And look what is mentioned in this memo. The president's State of the Union Address.

We don't know what we will find but our prospects for getting the access we seek is far greater when we have the backing of the majority. I thought this was exactly the type of activity that dems love to condemn as "a fishing expedition".

This story worries me .. I wonder if Hannity was set up. The story could be true...could be false .. but there is certainly not enough info to validate it against. It's an undocumented source and so far, there is no other corroborating info.
I checked the Fox website today and it is not even mentioned on the front page OR in Hannity's section of the website. This is what happens when a story does not have "legs".
Call me a skeptic if you like .. but you need to wait and see with stories like this. Nobody else is touching it .. not even Drudge. Am I the only person who see's some danger?
I just hope that Hannity handled it with a disclaimer .. "it could be true or it could be a setup". The Left is out to get Hannity .. and nobody knows it better than he does. He could have been fed this story in order to discredit him
At any rate, I'm sure we will all know soon enough if the story has "legs" or if Hannity is going to back away from it.

Rockefeller issued a statement that ws read on early evening news on Fox, in which he admitted that the memo was real, but said that: a.) it was only a draft, b.) not sent to anyone, c.) written by a low level staffer, d.) and that Sean's source memo was gotten either out of 1.) a wastebasket or 2.) through unauthorized computer access.
