The judicial branch is hijacked once again by the children of the left.

By doing nothing about these partisan filibusters, the Republicans simply invite more, on thinner and thinner grounds. Ultimately, the Democrats may simply refuse to confirm any judges, and if the voters don't care next November, that will be that.

Do you happen to know which two "republicans" voted against Pryor? Was Arlen, (hopefully not the next chairman of the judiciary committee) one of them?

"Brown, a California Supreme Court justice, also supports limits on abortion rights and corporate liability and opposes affirmative action."

There is so much that is wrong with this sentence and so much that is left out. We don't know her views on these issues. We know how she ruled on certain cases that involved these issues. For example, on affirmative action, she voted not to strike down the vote of the people on Prop. 209. Maybe she simply believed that there was no constitutional basis for that law to be struck down. For all I know, she may think that AA is a wise idea, but it's not her place to legislate from the bench.

It's amazing how this stuff gets by and is accepted by so many.

"His views are at the extreme of legal thinking," said Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

Ahem, cough. Cough.

"The people of the Eleventh Circuit deserve a nominee who will follow the rules of law,

and not use the federal bench to advance his own extreme ideology."

That's what the Senate is for, right Senator?

I have given up being outraged and the Dems for this... my outrage is aimed squarely at Sen. Fritz.
