I just heard an officer in my old unit died this week. His name was 2LT Todd Bryant and he was killed in a rocket attack.

He didn't die to "defend a lie". He died fighting terrorist scum who would like NOTHING BETTER THAN TO DESTROY AMERICA. He didn't die defending the interests of an "oil rich WASP", he died liberating a people from a socialist dictatorship based on NAZI/Stalinist principles. AND HE DID NOT DIE JUST SO THE DU IDIOTS COULD LAUGH AT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry... I'm upset and angry that I am in the USA on a different assignment and not with my brothers in Iraq. It's hard to be left home and listen to these A-hole socialists at the DU/CNN/NY TIMES/LA Times/Hollywierd, etc cheer every time a US soldier is killed.

All I can do is my duty here and try my best to help them over-seas.

Yours in Service,
Chris

Dear Chris -

Thank you for your service to America. Today on FoxNews I watched a service for the 16 American military guys who were killed in Iraq. I cried really sorrowful tears. You should know that every time we hear of a soldier in Iraq dying it really tears at most Americans. Much of this feeling is because of TV and embedded reporters. It's almost like being in Iraq with our guys and gals. And thanks to FreeRepublic we were able to send e-mails of support and love to them. We received so many wonderful return e-mails from them (usually when they were returning from Iraq on battleships). What a bunch! They make us very proud - our military are truly great Americans - the best!

Thanks for serving our country, at least you have found a good place to vent your frustrations with the domestic enemy and a home here at Free Republic.

No apology necessary. Just remember: These people are a minority -- a loud, obnoxious, misguided minority, but still a minority. The vast majority of the American public fully supports the troops and gets disgusted by the kind of remarks this woman made.

Thanks for your service to the country; it’s appreciated much more than you realize.

Thank you for your service.I am angry that any serviceperson had to be subjected to that DU member's sociopathic diatribe.I wanted to believe it was a disruptor but noticed she is a long time poster. My reaction is that she should drown in a vat of her murderous bile.

There are not words to thank all our armed forces.I pray God protect those in harm's way.I honor your service and mourn the death of your friend.
