The crash brought the U.S. death toll for the week to 32 -- the bloodiest seven days in Iraq for Americans since the fall of Baghdad

We are not actually in a War. Congress does not have the sack to actually declare a War against any Nation for any reason, and that has been the case since before I was born. Those fools in the media, and in the electorate, are so stupid. They (it appears to me, seem to think that not declaring War actually hinders the President, they are so wrong.)  A declaration of war would constrict the president in ways that could only be considered a positive thing by these subversives who are only supported by ignoramuses, or radical zealots in the left wing of the political spectrum.

Therefore, we are involved in something like a conflagration, war, but not exactly that. If the USA would just kick ass, and stop taking numbers, we could stop much of this BS where our Troops are being killed so easily!  The worst thing that could happen would be if the Congress actually did declare war, then we would be subject to all sorts of International Treaty obligations. Hello Geneva Convention! This President is remiss by not taking advantage of that paradigm. His re-election means nothing to me. The lives of our Troops means everything to me.

Personally, I would like to have War declared by Congress. then we could have Military Tribunals, and we could start executing  the enemies of the greatest Nation that has ever come upon the face of the Earth. The political rat bastards won't let that happen, and as a result, this Nation is doomed. Hold onto your hats, and say your prayers. Thank You NY Times, Boston Globe, CBS, ABC, and all of you liberal whack jobs who profess to be journalists. You have killed us, but I will see you in that great day when all things shall be revealed.

You will not appreciate my testimony. Ca va!

I agree and I hope they use them tomorrow and the next day. We need to let these Sadaamites that the war is not over and will never be until they are all dead, in prison, or in line.

The Germans actually had very little trouble in their occupied countries until they started to lose. It was simple. Everytime a trooper is lost, pick 100 civilians at random and hang or shoot them.

Well this Trooper certainly has my vote for President if he ever runs.

Unfortunately, the PC brass at the Pentagon will probably court martial the guy.

He understands things.

They (PC brass) apparently don't.

Why haven't we encouraged Clinton-era appointees and rump-kissers to exit the Pentagon, so real military leaders can do what needs to be done?

We have numbn*ts in the Pentagon right now who don't want to "take sides."

"This is to remind the town that we have teeth and claws and we will use them," said Lt. Col. Steven Russell, commander of the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.

Well this Trooper certainly has my vote for President if he ever runs. He understands things.

And if he tries to use those teeth and claws, he'll be relieved of his command and probably court-martialled, like 3rd Infantry's LTC West. And he better not search any mosques during Ramadan; after all, our commander-in-chief has repeatedly told us that theirs is a religion of peace....

Backed by Bradley fighting vehicles (search), American troops bombarded buildings with machine guns and heavy weapons fire.
"This is to remind the town that we have teeth and claws and we will use them," said Lt. Col. Steven Russell, commander of the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.

I'm at a loss to compare this to what Lt Col West accomplished....

I won't go to your link, because I learned of this LTC West early on, when the News first became public.

I was torn, in a way, over the matter. When I was in Basic Training, they hammered us with the Geneva Convention BS.

These Muslim Trogladytes can barely read, but they know how to do a suicide bombing. These people know how to win a war better than our Soldiers. Is that right? Can that possibly be acceptable to Americans? Who the eff are these people who are running our military, and government?

I have hard or read somewhere, that during the last days of WW2, President Truman was asked "How many Japanese should die for the sake of saving the life of even one of our American Troopers?"

His alleged answer, to this alleged question was,(according to my memory,) All of them, if it is neccesary!

ALL of Them! Lets kill them all and get it over with. This is what the Israelites failed to do on the road to the Promised Land. Most of us out here realize what price the Jews have paid for that refusal to obey the commandments of their God which were enunciated by Moses, and Joshua, and later by the Prophets.

I hope that you all who read here, understand my words.

Unfortunately Tikrit does not border the US, as Chechnya does to Russia, and West Bank does to Israel.

Maybe they would act with more strength if it did.

Maybe if we were attacked in say...New York...then things would be different. Oh wait...

"Prisons ... will never terrify us."

What about plastic shredders? Hmm? Fortunatley for them, shredder-man was, well, pretty well shredded by the US Army. His father may still be around though, suppose they'd like a dose that kind of medicine? I must admit I find shredding by machine deplorable... I prefer a GAU-8 at 1000 yards. :)

Must be on his "Sunset" assignment. This man is much too fierce for higher rank in today's Army.

Actually, the best course of action would be to cordon off the town of Tikrit and systematically evac the population into the desert. After the place is empty and thoroughly searched for weapons let the folks back in slowly. Do this with every neighborhood that harbors a shooter and they'll soon get the message that letting the rats live there can be a real annoyance.

Late Friday, U.S. troops fired mortars and a U.S. jets dropped at least three 500-pound bombs around the crash site, rattling windows over a wide area in an apparent show of force. Other U.S. jets streaked over Tikrit after sundown.

Dang, I think we are getting back to being SERIOUS!

"U.S. officers have long been concerned about the safety of aviation because of the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of shoulder-fired missiles still missing in Iraq after the collapse of Saddam's regime in April."

Ugh!

I'm beginning to feel like we have something to share with the Russians - quagmire.

""They wanted us (Muslim jihad) to give them guarantees that what they call violence ends. We told them that this will only end when the last American soldier leaves the country," said Sheik Abdel-Sattar al-Janabi."

There is only one thing these ba$turds$ understand - the steaming hot muzzle of a Bradley fighitng vehicle.

"We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire... Give us the tools and we will finish the job.(Sir Winston Churchill)"

All the U.N. has done has to cause us pain and grief.

If we are going to fight this war alone - so be it.

Turn up the heat and cook the chicken!
