I think "the next big thing" terrorism-wise will be the introduction of foot & mouth disease into our livestock or some deadly mycotoxin on our grain supplies. The quickest way to create chaos anywhere is to limit or threaten food supply. It's hard to believe, because food is so accessible in the U.S. But, it was a food crisis that spurred the French Revolution (that's why they spend thousands more per acre on food subsidies than we do). I once had a tour of Hunt's Point (food terminal and distribution point) in New York, and I was stunned to find that Manhattan, were it isolated and cut off from outside food supplies on any day, would have exactly 2 days' food supply before chaos would break out.

These days it would be foolish to not have some water and food rat holed.
We still have some from y2k that wont expire for another decade.
But if a whole neighborhood or city is hungry or thirsty bullets may prove more valuable.
OR Faith...a tank full of gas might prove useful.
Fear is never the answer, nor is denial.
I pray the Good Lord and our Soliders continue to protect us from these demonic murderers.

Don't believe everything a tour guide tells you. Manhattan would not "break out in chaos" any more quickly than your own town would. Do you really think supermarkets and private homes in New York City only stock a 36-hour supply of food?

Also see post 105 here and stock up for a few weeks while you are at it. Canned stuff lasts...
