My intense dislike for trolls comes from having run a large BBS. Weeding them out was a constant battle. They behave like people who know they hold untenable positions. They can't back up what they say, so they try to prevent all discussion. If they raise the aggravation level to where a thread gets pulled, they consider it a victory. Some believe the views they espouse. Others don't care - they just troll whenever they notice a subject becoming near and dear to a lot of people.

Two things identify them. First, they ignore all evidence and proof. Trolls ask you to back up something you said. When you do, they act like you haven't. They'll imply you aren't paying attention, then repeat their same old tirade. Second, they will never answer a simple, direct question about what they believe, no matter how many chances they're given.

On these threads, trolls who want Terri dead and "right to die" advocates are called Death Culture Trolls or Death Trolls. (I still can't make a link that works.)

When I first learned about Terri back in early October, I thought right then that this was the center of a battle in a much larger spiritual war. Everything I've seen since then convinces me even more.

The misidentification of someone as a troll happens when an uninformed person shows up with a writing style and MO that are similar to a known troll.

Whoa, that's one tough site to navigate. I got into public access tonight---a previous attempt a few days ago found the program disabled. I had to use the adobe acrobat help to understand how to get info. Even then, if I didn't go back to the first page (with the link for domestic, criminal or whatever) entering the docket number didn't help. Had to play with it a lot. After a while I got the idea---that records in this program don't go back to the 1980's when Michael Schiavo lived there.
