Beautiful here in Alabama. The moon is nice and red/orange. Looks like a penny in the sky. My little 3 year old boy is yelling, "Hey, moon, come back!" at it. Just used a flashlight, and apple and and orange to demonstrate what's going on to my 7 year old daughter. O-->O-->0

Watching outside in DC. A bunch of spoiled teenage brats in Dad' BMW MPV stopped and told me not to bother. "It's all over man." He saw it all on TV. Love it when TV is more real than reality.

It's 8:25 in Central New Jersey. It's been clear all night, great views - until now. Clouds have moved in, and I cannot see anything in the sky - no moon, no stars, nothing.

From http://www.wzzm13.com/kabcam/spectrum.jpg

The Einstein over at WZZM did not realize he has to move the camera as the moon rises. Now all you see is black.

Hellooo... WZZM...?

>>...I saw the eclipse perfectly and had fun showing and explaining it to the children....<<

It was hard for me to drag my guys away from thier computers but when I got 'em out there they were amazed.....for about 5 minutes. Then it was "Dad, can we go back in now?"

Yes, at full elcipse when the Earth blocks the Sun's light and gravity from reaching the Moon, the Moon will fly off into deep space and become the comet Moon-Bop.

Hey, did someone shake the hand of the man-in-the-moon? Why'd he disappear?
