And they wonder why we choose to teach our children at home? If it's not some whacko goth punk trying to shoot your child, it's a cop drawing down on him in some SS-style raid.
I wonder what kind of B.S. story we'd be hearing now if there'd been an accidental discharge and some kid was wounded or dead because of it. Something along the lines of "The perpatrator, a male, pointed a #3 lead pencil at the officer, who defended himself by firing fifteen rounds, striking the attacker once in the chest..."

Then the principal, George McCrackin, patted him down, checked his shoes and took out his wallet, asking him where he got the approximately $100 he was carrying, Sam said. The student said he told McCrackin he had just gotten paid at his job at KFC. Aaahhh, America -- I barely knew ye.

Of course the lapdog press does not name and show pictures of the heroes that pointed guns at kids.

police told them that any innocent bystanders in the crowd should blame the search on the people bringing drugs to school
In other words, the cops had no idea who, if anyone, even had drugs. This was a fishing expedition.
Time to de-militarize the police, and change their priorities. The never seem to be this proactive about other forms of crime.

I spoke to some teachers from Stratford this weekend.
They thought the raid was perfectly appropriate. They told me the school can't do anything about their drug dealers. They can't suspend or punish them because they have rights. They can't find drugs on the dealers because they're just too cunning.
I was stunned speechless. I asked: You mean you CAN terrorize 107 random kids, force them to their knees at gun point but do nothing about known dealers?
They didn't have a problem with the raid. I can't believe they will be "teaching" kids about the Constitution and American History.

I remember when the schools used to handle the discipline. About 6, 8 or 10 years ago the schools abandoned discipline and called the police to handle problems in the schools (at least in my city)
So now we have had police officers in schools for quite some time. One of our SRO's made over 90 arrests at one of our high schools last year.
Don't blame the police. The community apparently thought it was a good thing to bring cops into the schools. No one complained. Now the cops do what they are trained to do and we suddenly have a problem with it.
Personally I think that the cops should be out of the schools and the schools should be handling the discipline.
But then again, we are moving closer to the socialist democrat utopia which we seem to prefer in this country.

Stratford High is the largest school in Berkeley County and second-largest statewide, with nearly 2,700 students. Because of its size, it has more surveillance than other schools in the county -- about 70 cameras that have been installed within the past two years.
They have 70 cameras in the school and can't find out who is dealing? I find that hard to believe.
I also think that this type raid is on very shakey ground since only SOME students were subjected to this search. Like only checking the cars you want at a license check. What dumba%% cop would only search 2 occupants of a car with 4 suspected drug dealers in it.
This whole thing stinks so bad it's not funny.
TALK ABOUT A POLICE STATE THIS IS IT.

Another argument for school vouchers.

Goose Greek police Lt. Dave Aarons has said several of the 14 officers who entered the school drew their guns as a matter of officer safety because many of us are frustrated ex-jocks, military wannabes, or hot-headed cowboys who get a real rush out of the power trip we get by pulling out our guns whenever possible.

I hope whoever ordered this loses his job and faces criminal charges, along with the gestapo officers, just like the Police Captain in Houston who raided the KMart lot.
