Hmmmm....which part of the Commandments would a Muslim find objectionable?

The very first one. "Thou shall have no other God before me."

This of course is why the primary statement of their faith is "There is no God but God...". "Allah" is of course Arabic for "God". Islam believes that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God.

Moore was elected by the people of the fine state of Alabama, not by a bunch of Lords In Robes

I salute Moore! I applaud him! Courage! Integrity! Honor! I pray this is the beginning of the 2nd American Revolution where Christians demand their God-given rights! The ACLU does NOT DECIDE MY RIGHTS FOR ME. I will fight them to my last breath.

If it takes the power of the federal government to make local wannabe theocrats respect the law, then so be it.

I don't understand, how can the "individual" have power, when the collective "federal government" sets the limits on representation in the state government?? How is one represented when folks in D.C. dictate the representative’s beliefs??

That the court system has become so hostile toarwd Christianity that it is being banished from America one lawsuit at a time.

Well, you could have fooled me. There are churches on about every corner around here. Plus preachers on radio and TV. Across the country, there are hundreds of Christian colleges and seminaries, publishing houses, magazines, thousands of websites, independent ministries, etc.

You're just angy because you want Chrsitianity to be the official religion to the detriment of non-Christians , and the constitution doesn't allow it.

You consider the "unsaved" to be second-class citizens?

Yes, she/he does. Scary, isn't it?

"Thou shall not give false testimony."
It appears it's you who believes yourself to be a second class citizen. It is you who choses your own path. You are the judge and jury of yourself.

This idiocy is due the failure of the Courts to follow original intent, and by their continuing efforts to usurp the function of the Legislative and Executive Branches of the Government.

Most Judges are non-elected, appointed for life, attorneys who are political hacks.

Cross an attorney with a politician and what do you get? A Judge.

They need to be kept under control.

***guffawing***

Fundamentalist Christians of the American South and Midwest have no concept whatsoever of what persecution is about, and Limbaugh's book is hysterical nonsense.

Congregations dot the landscape, people can't be fired for their religious beliefs, you get a tax break for religious donations, and your congregation is exempt from property and income taxes. To top it off, your congregation can own nonreligious enterprises. And Limbaugh is pimping a book talking about how "persecuted" Christians are in America?

I'm sorry but you need to read up on what was suffered in Eastern Europe and Russia under Communism (a western export to those lands), as well as that which was suffered by Greek Christians under the Turks.

I am actually sorry this happened - since it is EXACTLY what Moore wanted!

Won't be surprised in the least if he runs for President now...

Right on brother, it is a funny feeling when things like this ruling happen, faith grows and apathy fades. The enemies of the state win a small battle, while the public works to extricate the political hacks from the system through the ballot box. This is why the Dems own nothing.

Is that why all the younger voters in the 1980s (raised by hippies and former hippies) voted for Republicans?

Link please. Very few were hippies, and even those only during their youth. Many grew to be normal members of society. Today, the liberals are @30% of the population max., and that's only because of the indoctrination success of removing the children from their homes and placing them in the "village."
Just like today, the extremes get the press coverage, the rest are living their lives as normal citizens.

If you choose the path of civil disobedience, integrity demands that you accept the consequences. The judge (rightfully in my mind) chose to disobey the rulings of the court. The consequences are his removal.

He should now focus on making permanent changes in his state to roll back the prior court decision(s).

If he runs for President, he's got my support, my money and my vote.

He is a man of integrity, a good Christian, and he knows the U.S. Constitution.

I see that you too wish to live in a theocracy.

I see you want to live in a judicial dictatorship.

You want to believe that the Founding Fathers built our constitution to model the ethics of "God".

They did. They based laws on orthodox christianity. That's where we get morality (righteousness).

I notice that when I speak to others or write papers, my rhetoric is sharpened and I am also able to monitor my anger much better... this is like a training ground, (like the Star Trek hollo-deck) this is an awesome place, we practice morality, patience, control, education, ideas... the Free Republic should be used in teaching kids civics, debate, and English... love it... can't help it.

Even if the 1st amendment is applied to the states, it's wording is plain - Congress ONLY makes laws, and laws are legislation - not arbitrary rulings by little gods in black robes.

So you're saying that per Alabama law the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court can decorate the courthouse any way he likes? I would like to see that law quoted.
If true, why did he sneak the installation in the middle of the night?
What does the state legislature say about the rock? Can they remove it?

Islam believes that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God.

No. Their God is the God of darkness, or the moon. It's a mix of paganism and a touch of Christianity because of the missionaries. They're nothing alike.
Voo-doo is a mix of ancient africanism and Catholicism. Voo-doo isn't Christianity either.

Remember, the Muslums are after the Christians and Jews. If they're the same, why would they want to detroy their own?

Some have spun them to support Satan, but the founding fathers based them on God/ Biblical principles.

Which is why the Founding Fathers specifically referenced God and those biblical principles in the Constitution. < /sarcasm >
