I can understand the desire for such a law, but I think this might be over-reaching. It would put couples who had trouble in their marriage, but were able to work it out, in the same category as someone like Mr.Schiavo. It might also unnecessarily leave many incapacitated persons as wards of the state, if they have no other family member who is able/willing to assume guardianship.

When is the Next Hearing on the Schindler Case trying to get Michael removed as the Guaridan????

I have been trying to find this out with no success since last Friday.

I called again to the phone numbers and this time the Clerk of Courts directed me to a "Court Representative" for the 6th District Court.

He is the liason for the Court to the public on the Terri Schindler Schiavo cases.

I called and left a message, hoepfully he will call back.

What happened to 'right to life'?

The story of Terri Schiavo is very sad. When the "right to die'' was put forward, we were shown people all connected to tubes and machines that breathed for them, kept their heart going, kept them alive when their brain was dead. Now we see people with eyes open, breathing on their own, not brain dead, just disabled, and we want to put them out of their - or should I say our - misery by starving and dehydrating them.

I understand the judge said no more pictures were to be taken. Why? Because we might see the agony of a person who is slowly dehydrated and starved?

Even animals are not slowly "put down.'' Put a TV camera in her room so we can see where our right to life has gone.

I know of three people - friends - who were put out of their misery in the last few years, and they were not on any machines.

Someone once said, "There are no slippery slopes toward loss of liberties, only a long staircase where each step downward must first be tolerated by the American people and their leaders.''

Are the barbarians already in control? May God help us.

I dont know about the guardianship issue but it was just announced on local news here in Clearwater that the judge is giving Jeb til next Monday (Nov 17, I believe) to respond to the constitutionality of Terris Law.This was per Mikey's challenge today.This was in result of last week's request for a stay from Jeb's atty.

This Judge Baird is nominally "Republican" and is giving orders to Republican Governor Bush. Obviously, Baird had his mind made up from day one: Terri must die!!! Otherwise, he would simply throw out Schiavo's challenge. These FL judges are too powerful: they will snuff out the freedom and lives of FL people if unchecked.

How can Bush's lawyer mount an effective challenge over the weekend? It's a done-deal from the start: George W. Greer must and shall be protected by is colleagues.

We need a state investigation to remove Terri from this guardianship. Why the delay?

These judges in FL are power-mad. Everything they are doing reflects their lust for power. It supersedes everything else, including partisanship, honor, integrity.

Thanks we are all kidn fo waiting around waiting for the shoe to drop. I'm so happy Jeb Bush is on this like white on rice.

Actually Terri needs nothing more than to have her parents made Guardian and Michale removed. I trust her parents will do the right thing for their daughter and I would respect their wishes in all instances.

This is why in my mind the bigget case is not the Jeb Bush Florida law case, the biggest case is the basic "Remove Michael as Guardian"

It is maddening that a question as simple as "when is the next hearing" on this case can't get answered in a week.

Hopefully now that there is a Court representative Ron Stewart, he will call me back and answer that question.

Getting Michael removed as Guardian is THE issue. Everything else is only dmamage control because he remains guardian.

What is frigtening is that the judges believe that it is okay to conduct MURDERS behind closed doors under the guise of choice. HEY MORON....ever hear of the BALANCE of powers??? Ever hear of government BY the people?? Ever hear of the "RIGHT TO LIFE?" It in the CONSTITUTION.....maybe you've heard of it.

Are you talking about the moderator? Don't know his name, he's probably president of the club or something. They sort of joined the thing in progress, the mod was admonishing the audience that he wouldn't tolerate any disruptions.
