If you disagree with the article, then post refutation...instead of hit pieces TO various posters and claiming that you can/will " get dirty " and to bring it on. Elsewise, go someplace, wherever that might be, where your brand of posting is enjoyed by most.

This was flamebait from its inception. Thus, the article is suspect, and the original poster as well.

Pretend it's not and join CP in the court of projection. I'll go to bed and spare myself. No webTV cares notwithstanding.

I don't " join " any person, faction, nor cult here; unlike you. And, by not bothering to do any work, in your " cause ", means that 1)you're only trolling...as usual 2) don't really care about this at all...just want your own flame war 3) both of the afore mentioned.

Projection is a problem of your's. Do, by all means go to beddy bye; you shan't be missed and you need the rest. ;^)

Perhaps we could meet on the common ground of trying to get as much govt. out of peoples lives as possible, including working to drive a stake through the heart of publicly funded education.

As a Catholic, I like the idea of publicly funded education, as long as the funding is local.

I went to St. Mary of the Pines, in Chattawa, Mississippiin in the 11th grade. We didn't have a science teacher because she died, and there simply wasn't another School Sister of Notre Dame available anywhere that year, so the gym teacher taught us science.

She was a very nice lady who was great at basketball and played a dynamite New Orleans style boogie woogie piano, but she didn't know beans about inorganic chemistry.

When it was time for my own kids to go to high school, I made sure we were living in one of the best public school districts in the area. We pay a fortune in property taxes, but it's worth it. Around here, housing prices actually reflect the school district. The exact same house will cost more or less depending on the school district.

People who don't like this system can opt out by moving away.

I do support the concept of vouchers, but, realistically, that would probably mean even higher property taxes, unless the private schools really are better. My kids are not going to go to a school where they can't learn inorganic chemistry because the teacher died.

I figure, woe to those who mess with Jesus or his teachings to advance their selfish political agendas.

One would think so, especially after reading the Gospels.

But, as history tells us, religion and politics have a strong tendency to morph together into something that brings out the worst in both. With respect to Christianity, it went on for a very, very long time, starting a few hundred years after Jesus, and ending only recently in this country.

When you look at it one way, America was founded on principles of religious freedom. But you could look at it another way, and say that America was founded by people who couldn't compromise their religious ideals, so had to leave Europe in order not to be killed for fanaticism.

The Puritans weren't exactly fond of religious freedom for anybody but Puritans, and Rushdoony, et al., fit right into that tradition.

And win recognition:

Ashcroft also said, "Obviously, the Center for Christian Statesmanship and Dr. D. James Kennedy are a wonderful addition to the voices that need to be heard in the United States Capitol and in America." (Ashcroft received the first "Distinguished Christian Statesman" award from the Center in 1996.)

You have one sentence in a long essay that mentions, en passant, Dr. Kennedy, and that is cause for your headline?

Whoops - and this is a laudatory piece, by a Baptist organization.

In some of his broadcasted sermons, Kennedy uses large words worthy of William F. Buckley but understood by few others. Also, Kennedy is a self-professed reconstructionist — a brand and view of American politics that many evangelicals could never buy into. But Kennedy’s written contributions to personal evangelism and apologetics have been most helpful and effectual for kingdom endeavor in America.

Kennedy is an able Christian apologist who demonstrates once again his giftedness in this present volume. This would be an excellent book for a believer who is trying to learn how to effectively contend for the Christian faith. It would also be relevant reading for non-Christians who seem genuinely open to reasoned defenses of the truth of Christianity.

Another interesting link I dug up. While I can't vouch for source or the accuracy of the contents describing these program and magazine statements, what it says is consistent with what we do know.

And there is a disturbing bit of secretiveness.

There certainly is to their activities. But their literature is available and makes no secret of their position. We can't leave Greg Bahnsen off this list of luminaries. His books on Theonomy provide an illuminating read.

"I figure, woe to those who mess with Jesus or his teachings to advance their selfish political agendas."
That's wisdom.

However, these folks don't believe they are "messing" with Jesus' teachings... they think they are clarifying it for us because we are too stupid to: 1) Read God's Word for ourselves 2) in the case of Catholics, remember the oral teachings and traditions delivered by the apostles 3)In general as Christians, do both... Hell NO, we need THEM to straighten this world out and make it safe for God... as if HE needed them to institute his plans. Seems to ME that HE has done pretty well with that whole "sunrise every morning" planetary-universe thing... without their or our help... heh heh...

Stoning of homos and drunks? Include drug addicts and hookers and you probably have a pretty broad constituency within the RP.

And among certan members of FR.

This is a hit piece designed to promote a flame war.

Well, go ahead and refute it, if you can.

While looking for discussions on Bahnson, I did find material that has some Kennedy and Hanegraaf cooperation with the Worldwide Church of God back before Hanegraaf fell out with Kennedy over the "Christian Zodiac" thingy.

Kindly reference these "sources" Mrs Clinton. Dr Kennedy is PCA a church which is NOT reconstrructionist (I guess the big words are too much for you to understand CP)
