I now a guy that downloaded a free keystroke logger and caught his wife the first day he ran it.

It gave him the e-mail name and password they were using, then he printd up the emails and took them to the other guys wife. She had him cleaned out in 24 hours, the locks changed, a restraining order, papers served and then went to his office and smashed every picture he had of the two of them on his desk.

The guy who started it forgave his wife and reconciled. He never even took a swing at the other guy.

Actually we are ALL being watched on-line, all the time, by US government sanctioned foreign governments no less. Yes, to get around the prohibition against spying on its own citizens the US lets our partners Britan and Australia do it for them. But pretty much every single piece of electronic information on the planet goes through the echelon spy system.

Your tax dollars at work.

Interesting. An eye-opener article. Thanks for posting and pinging this, Bobby777.

Here's the link to this article, folks.

Are you being watched online?

Excerpt:

Nov. 13 — Here’s a sobering thought: While you’re looking at your computer, it may be looking back at you. There is easy-to-get, even free, software that lets anybody spy on you, anytime you are on your computer.
LAST WEEK, KNTV and MSNBC.com examined online infidelity and found Internet temptation is quietly on the rise. It turns out, so is the prevalence of spy software designed to catch a cheating lover.
Virtually anyone with an e-mail inbox knows about the software, which is being aggressively hawked by spammers. Programs with names like “Email P.I.,” selling for as little as $50, promise to let a buyer peek over the shoulder of anyone, anywhere on the Internet, while he or she sits at the computer. Another such program, named “Internet Spy 2003,” says in its e-mail pitch “Investigate anybody-anytime!!”
“Utilize these powerful Internet resources to locate people, run business investigations, find legal information, contact long lost friends or just snoop around,” says a Web site advertising the software. “Internet Spy is an amazing tool that will help you find just about anything about anyone. You can use it in the privacy of your own home without anyone ever knowing, ... Don’t hire a private investigator. Do it yourself with Internet Spy.”

I recall an incident that occured when I was a student taking my first internet class. I was using a search engine to locate web sites for my class. The search engine listed one site that had a title I couldn't read. So, I clicked on to it. It turned out to be a French language web site. Which, of course, explains why I couldn't understand the title.

But an interesting thing happened as I returned to the search engine. All the advertisements had switched to French. Nothing was in English. Obviously, some bit of software noted my logging on to a French language site and responded.

Any government spending money watching me is wasting its money.

Perhaps they could focus on terrorists?

Naw....that'd be too intolerant of them.

SPY ON THIS.

I do not like the fact that someone may be watching me, but what a boring job for the chap. I am a boring guy who reads DRUDGE, and FREE REPUBLIC 30 times a day. Other than that I am out teaching my 10, and 9 year old how important it is to be well round, and a productive member of society.

I hate the thought that the USG is spending my tax dollars, to watch me ... WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!

I deliberately surf the Internet as often as possible to help put the watchers to sleep with my useless activities.

An associate engages in similar activity by browsing as many pornographic sites as possible so as to tittilate the watchers into a frenzy of ineffectiveness.

Just two small sacrifices to help keep Liberty safe.

Best regards,

I recommend (whatever that is worth) a complete and thurough reformating of your hard drive. Hard devices that spy on you?? Well, know your computer.. one way is the Belarc software program that list all the devices and software on your computer.

I use similar software to keep tabs on my kids online activity. They are time limited on a system and their uses are limited as well. Even still, it's good to have them know that dad has a way to watch. It keeps their 'head in the game' so to speak.
