Tyrants & propogandists have, since the dawn of time, painted their chosen enemy as monsterous. Ususally, cartoonishly monsterous.

A fairly tame, & still despicable, example of this would be Bill Clinton convincing many of my neighbors that I wanted to starve their children. Ridiculous, outrageous, and believed by many.

I don't know a damn thing about this family, but; parental love of one's child, around the world, has far more similarities than differences.
