Hinckley On The Loose?
Oregon Magazine ^ | November 17, 2003 | Larry Leonard

Posted on 11/17/2003 6:00:38 PM PST by WaterDragon

Reports are circulating that psychiatrists have cleared for unsupervised home visits the moron who shot Reagan to impress Jody Foster.

We’ll set aside the fact that Hinckley tried to assassinate the president of the United States. Let’s just say that his attempt was on the life of another human being, and in particular one who had done him no harm. That sort of thing happens every day in America.

If you recall, just a few weeks back some fellow got a pistol and tried to kill an attorney involved in a case related to financial matters.

You must have seen the video of the lawyer jumping back and forth, trying to keep a tree between himself and the fellow firing the gun at him....(SNIP)

I saw CNN reporter Walter Rodgers being interviewed earlier today. He was about 18 inches away from Hinckley when started shooting and when Jim Brady was shot, Brady landed at Rodgers' feet (Rodgers went into detail about how Brady was shot). He wants Hinckley locked up. For good. There was another reporter on MSNBC earlier today (I can't remember his name) who expressed the same sentiments. Neither one thought he was crazy. And at least Rodgers said he'd do it again.

Hinckley should be sitting in jail, in a cell next to Sirhan Sirhan, near Squeaky Fromme and Sara Jane Moore. And he can rot there.

Do you think the old, "Sarah Brady is having an affair with Jody Foster", deal would work? It's an old joke, with a new twist. Who knows.

The good news is that even the liberal Washington press recognizes the hustle that Hinckley and his parents are trying to pull. There have been unflattering articles and columns about this. Also, their attempts in the past to mainpulate the courts have failed and have backfired on them. These court petitions are now viewed with extreme suspicion. John-boy is going nowhere anytime soon.

Subj: RELEASE FROM CUSTODY

Dear Mr. Hinckley,

I am glad to hear that your doctors are in favor of allowing you unsupervised trips from the hospital. Before his recent illness, Ronnie spoke often of his desire to forgive you, a desire I share. We both knew that you were ill, and that your acts were not done with evil intent. Please know that we do forgive you, and wish you nothing but good things for you.

Please know that if there is anything I can do for you, you need only ask. I will keep praying that you will make a full recovery, as will the rest of the Reagan family.

God bless you,

Nancy Reagan

PS: did you know that Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Muammar Khadaffi, and Kim Jong-Il are all getting it on with Jodie Foster? Love, Nancy

I don't understand... please enlighten me.... I was under the impression, insane or not, that if you attack a President of the US, it is automatic life sentence... Damn, what is wrong with this picture? Next, Squeaky will be demanding weekend visits with charlie.

I find it interesting that nobody is mentioning the fact that Hinckley's father and George Bush Sr. are (were?) fast friends. In fact, on the same day that Reagan was shot, Hinckley's brother Scott had a dinner date with Neil Bush. Must've made for some edgy times around the WH after Ronnie recovered.
