It really pisses me off that the pubbies don't have any cojones and have to depend on Zell MMiller to play hardball with his own party.

A post earlier tonight said a Lexus/Nexus search showed this issue has been reported in just three newspapers. That is pathetic!!!

Hello?? What's wrong with this picture?

Grrrrrr

A great and badly needed post. Click on news articles under topics at http://www.intelmemo.com for a list of articles on memogate. Note how many were published by conservative outlets, and how few were published by major mainstream papers. Of those, most were one mention and off the radar screen. Al Jazeera covered this, but there's no traction on this issue on the nightly news or in most papers.

"...I think we should keep a breeding pair around..."

I think that may be more difficult than you think. Copulating - yes. Procreating - ummm, maybe.

Tom, human life is very cheap to the democRAT party leadership. They will even try to spin in order to defend the indefensible, partial birth infanticide, touting it as 'a woman's right to choose' ... to choose a serial killer to slaughter an alive unborn child. It is proof that to democrats killing a child is a medical cure for the 'I don't want that kid cramping my lifestyle'. Ann Coulter has named them appropriately as the party of death. Now we know they're the party of death and mayhem, for active sedition seeks to create mayhem.

Worst case scenario, there is always cloning. If it's good enough for sheep, it'll work for dems.

I don't know which is worse...having treacherous Democrats in charge...or milquetoast Republicans like we have now.

The "republican majority" in place right now is a joke. They are doing everything (short of getting the vaseline) for the Democrats while the Left screws America.

I'm not exaggerating. It's only been the occasional grass-roots Conservative movements (like the California recall and outrage over CBS's anti-Reagan mock-u-mentary) that have honestly bucked the system and stood firm against the Left's designs.

The republicans on Capitol Hill have only made token efforts at best...the latest being a mere 40-hour feeble attempt to act like they're trying to break the Democrat's filibuster.

I dunno...if given the choice between dealing with a guy who is my sworn enemy and dealing with a guy who claims to be my friend (but who won't do anything to help me), I'd rather deal with my sworn enemy. At least he has the decency to let me know up front that he's trying to harm me.

Time to bring back some old customs. Like hanging traitors.

I firmly beleive that the only reason Dems are so hellbent on disarming this nation is a deep seated fear that they will be called to account for thier crimes some day. We can only hope. :-)

Disarming Americans is the only way the freedom haters will be able to accomplish the "final solution to the right-wing racist homophobic reactionary standing-in-the-way-of-progress problem.

That's why they only want the police and military to be armed.

"exits and not victory"

I'm so angry at the democrats, all I want to do is scream. Surely they know that .. that's why I'm trying to remain calm .. I don't want to give them satisfaction.

Like Rush said today .. you cannot appease these people .. you cannot win them over .. you cannot make friends with them. No matter what you do they will only turn on you and destroy you with your own words.

Looks like Schumer was just doing what comes naturally.

The republicans on Capitol Hill have only made token efforts at best...the latest being a mere 40-hour feeble attempt to act like they're trying to break the Democrat's filibuster.

The problem with politician's is really very simple. Some poor guy with good intentions is elected to office and goes to the House or Senate. He's sat down and educated on how things really work and what is expected of him/her.

Problem is things don't work like he thought they would or were supposed to work.

Now he either goes along with the program or finds himself without party support (see financial)comes election time. He also finds himself on some committee (if at all) that looks into the Draino problem in Montana, or some such nonsense.

In other words, come next election he's either voted out of office because he can't produce for his state/district or he actually has some moral values and decides that's it, no more political crap for me.

There is so much crap going on in D.C. that there is no way either party is going to cut anyone's throat unless there is a real advantage that can be gained for election purposes. They each are holding daggers at each others backs.

What we need is a large group of folks elected that have nothing to hide, that aren't afraid to take it on the chin once in awhile. Call it guts, brass balls, jeuvos or what have you. Find me one of those guys/gals and I'll support them all of the way and I think most people will too.

That's my two cents worth on politics.

Whatever the reason, this should be the response for thier treasonous activity.

Hanging

For execution by this method, the inmate may be weighed the day before the execution, and a rehearsal is done using a sandbag of the same weight as the prisoner. This is to determine the length of 'drop' necessary to ensure a quick death. If the rope is too long, the inmate could be decapitated, and if it is too short, the strangulation could take as long as 45 minutes. (And this is a bad thing?) The rope, which should be 3/4-inch to 1 1/4-inch in diameter, must be boiled and stretched to eliminate spring or coiling. The knot should be lubricated with wax or soap "to ensure a smooth sliding action," according to the 1969 U.S. Army manual.

Immediately before the execution, the prisoner's hands and legs are secured, he or she is blindfolded, and the noose is placed around the neck, with the knot behind the left ear. The execution takes place when a trap-door is opened and the prisoner falls through. The prisoner's weight should cause a rapid fracture-dislocation of the neck. However, instantaneous death rarely occurs.

If the inmate has strong neck muscles, is very light, if the 'drop' is too short, or the noose has been wrongly positioned, the fracture-dislocation is not rapid and death results from slow asphyxiation. If this occurs the face becomes engorged, the tongue protrudes, the eyes pop, the body defecates, and violent movements of the limbs occur. (Sounds like a Dem caught in flagrant delicto.)
