What a lame report. Is the system so fragile that one line tripping can bring down the whole NEastern US? Obviously it is.

Among the faults found at FirstEnergy, however, was a simple failure to keep trees around power lines trimmed. PG&E had this problem a few years ago when untrimed trees caused a massive forest fire in the Sierra. Only problem was the fact the state PUC had told them to cut cost to reduce rates...
