Hillary whatever her name is....is the perfect representation of FEMINAZI.

Mrs. Bush is the perfect representation of a woman with intelligence and class.

And I say...FORGET the "Jackie Kennedy-ish style" -- Mrs. Bush has a style all her own, and it's NOT Jackie Kennedy-ish! She has absolutely nothing in common with Jackie K. -- never has / never will! She's her "own woman" with her own style/own uniqueness...and I for one, admire that immensely. Jackie Kennedy APPEARED to be a lovely woman...now doubt she was, although whenever she spoke, her "mousy voice/tone" was a bit grating on the nerves, IMHO. Mrs. Bush, though, is WHO she is within her own right...not having to emulate/nor ever emulating the style of ANY former first lady nor anyone else for that matter! (and I think she should be credited for that) -- she truly IS "her own woman!" (AND...one more thing...a woman who not only KNOWS her man...but a woman who LOVES her man just the same...and IT SHOWS! ... oh, how fortunate for him!)

I am a HUGE admirer of Laura Bush, especially for her promotion of literary programs. I am hoping that she might take a look at Some Came Running by James Jones. It is now our Freeper Reading Club assignment and I am absolutely floored by how incredible it is. It is easily the BEST look at life in a small town in mid-20th century America. I don't just consider Some Came Running to be A great American novel---I consider it THE Great American Novel. Every literate American should read this book. It's INCREDIBLE beyond belief.

When Some Came Running came out nearly 50 years ago, it was savaged by critics. There are several reasons for this which I will get into during our discussion on this novel in January. However, on reading this book now, this is most definitely the BEST look at American life and a MUST READ for every literate American. I hope Mrs. Bush places this book into her reading program. < /PSA>

I've always thought Laura was kinda hot, in a Marian the Librarian sort of way. And Marian was a very hot librarian.

I think this picture says it all about the difference between the two most recent first ladies.

Laura is the classiest first lady we've ever had. They showed a close-up of Tony Blair's wife - she has such a sad look about her. I kinda like her. She seems nice too.

Of course, while the Clintons did visit Great Britain, they never rated a State Visit like the Bush's did.

Nothing really against Mrs. Kennedy, but I've seen some programs where she was being interviewed, and she sounded like a bit of a dullard reading que-cards. I always figured Jack married her based on money and contracts, not for intellect.
