The New York Police Department has issued a department-wide alert for cops to be on the watch for explosives that disappeared from Newark International Airport more than two months ago, Newsday has learned.
The explosive, Primasheet, a plastic bonded explosive with enough power to bring down a jetliner, according to some experts, disappeared in early September. The material was last seen while cops in the Port Authority Police Department's K-9 Unit were using it to train bomb-sniffing dogs aboard a Continental Airlines jet, according to the Port Authority.
The Port Authority earlier said the explosive material was last accounted for on Sept. 4, when it was used aboard the Continental aircraft. Its disappearance was not realized until a Sept. 23 internal audit, officials said.

The police loses it and they didn't notice it was missing until 3 weeks later!
They have been "looking for it" for two months and haven't found it.
Now they are getting worried, that terrorists may have gotten hold of it.
It doesn't give you a warm feeling, does it?
In the meantime they are busy taking away nail clippers and strip searching 80-year old ladies.

Yes, and the disturbing part is that it disappeared from Newark Airport. Disturbingly close to Jersey City, operations base of the Blind Sheik and the first WTC bombers.
I told a friend, after 9/11, that the authorities should be going house-to-house in northern New Jersey.
I can't wait to move away from here. I've had it. It's a third-world outpost.

They were training dogs.
But considering the threat, one would think they would keep track of the explosives.

As usual, initially they said it's "not terrorism related", but after recently they decided, that maybe they better tell other law enforcement agencies, just in case terrorists did get hold of it.
"At the time the Primasheet was discovered to be missing, they said they did not think terrorists had anything to do with its disappearance and that their investigation was focused on who signed the explosive in and out of the agency's training center at the Newark airport.
On Monday -- after simultaneous terror attacks outside two Istanbul synagogues that killed 20 and injured 300, and with the holy month of Ramadan coming to a close -- the NYPD issued a formal operations order about the missing Primasheet."
Maybe they are in some cargo plane already. I really don't think that the Istambul attacks triggered the NYPD to own up to the missing explosives.
I don't know how much one can or should believe this, but here is the comment on SteveQuale.com:
http://www.stevequayle.com/ DATE 11-20 to 12-25
LOCATION Washington D.C.
ATTACK cargo planes loaded with explosives
TYPE TARGET The White House and nuclear power plant in the northeast
INTEL SOURCE eyewitness involved in the plan
ATTACK PROBABILITY: Federal authorities actively thwarting this plot authorities making arrest, this will not be made public
COMMENT: Concurrent with our warning over the last 30 days, the White House evac was specifically linked to information of cargo aircraft being flown into this building. The whole 'blip on the radar' being birds was meant for "bird-brained" people. Concurrent with the White House attack, Fed. agents are foiling the plan of an airplane being flown into a nuclear power plant. Plant is specific, but we can not post location at this point. NOTE: For those who expect this type info to appear on major

My guess? They left the Primasheet stuff on board the aircraft by accident, and later on a cleaning crew found it and threw it away as trash...

Or maybe it's still on the plane.
Now there's a comforting thought.
