They are trying to terrorize our troops.

They will not succeed.

The media is complicit.

I just saw a ticker on FOX news that the two soldiers were shot, then dragged out of their vehicle and 'stoned.' ?????

Any bets that the perps are found???

The JAG will help them. They will prosecute American soldiers who try to extract information from the terrorists to save the lives of other American soldiers. The JAG prosecuting Col. West is a disgrace to the Armed Forces of the United States.

I just saw a ticker on FOX news that the two soldiers were shot, then dragged out of their vehicle and 'stoned.' ?????

I heard that on Fox News also, however they did not say stones, they said the soldiers bodies were abused by big cement blocks and then their vehicle looted.

I was on a 3-way call with my son and his wife earlier this morning. He is presently in Kuwait. He was unaware of what had taken place in Mosul and so was I. He informed me that he had signed up for a class that is provided by the 101st Airborne and the class is being held in Mosul.

I had backed off the phone call so that my son and daughter-in-law could have some privacy, but had to call them back to inform my son of what had occured.

My prayers go out for these soldiers and their family and friends.

"This whole islamic thing of cutting throats/beheading comes from some old custom, in chechnya at least, of souls after death being unable to hold up their heads to come after you."

Our soldiers are in Heaven now, God Bless them.

These murdering islamic bastards need to fear the LIVING now.

As horrifying as that video is, it ought to be played every day on every news channel right before the anchors start howling about dead civilians and injustice, showing the antiwar protests etc etc. With the sound track.

> this brazen cowardly act will be a watershed event in ground operations. Bastards!

No, they're bastards, yes,
but they are not cowardly.
Anyone who gets

close enough to cut
a US soldier's throat has
something like gonads.

I'm sure that the Army's C.I.D. will be investigating the possibility that the were killed by a fellow American, if only to rule that possibility out.

Horrible to contemplate.

If so, could be personal, or could be political, with all that implies.

The first thing we should abandon is this crazy "smart-bomb" idea, that we can destroy a few selected buildings and leave all of the enemies alive to fight us later. How stupid is that? War is bloody and people are killed, but at least when you win, you can start rebuilding with the survivors who respect your might, even though they may not like it. With this PC war notion, you have no one's respect and all your enemies intact to cut your throat at a traffic stop or in the dark of night. The rest of the populace witnesses this and considers you weak and nuts. I can hear Gen. Patton rolling over in his grave....

Fact: Since Operation Iron Hammer began on November 12, there have been 70% less casualties among our troops.

We are not going to lose. Stop listening to the mainstream media. It's not easy, but it's necessary, and we will be victorious.

May God grant comfort to the families of these two brave soldiers who have fallen in the cause of FREEDOM.

I wonder how much something like a turtleneck sweater made of kevlar would help. Something like that would be danged hot but endurable during the winter. I worked at a plant that had a press room and people were required to wear kevlar gloves when handling the sheet metal. Something like this obviously would not stop a bullet but would definitely slow down a knife and low density blast fragments. Oh, and a last thought, it does not have to be a complete sweater, just the turtleneck part.

"The first thing we should abandon is this crazy "smart-bomb" idea, that we can destroy a few selected buildings and leave all of the enemies alive to fight us later."

The smart bombs were not developed to leave the enemies alive. They were developed to kill what they are aimed at and to do that as cheaply as possible. I've read that the circular error probability for bombs dropped during wwll was around 300 feet. That means that 50% of the odinance dropped landed 300 feet or more from the target. Half of the rest were lucky to do more than blow out the windows.
