[history]
Marriage is between a man and woman, except when it's not.
Since June 27, I've been married to Joyce, the woman I fell in love with 18 years ago. I realize I've made that joyous announcement before, but the reality that the Canadian province of Ontario made our heartfelt wish come true is still amazing to me.

Too late Deb. When you made it an issue you made Democrat Presidential candidates unelectable. Congradulations.

Isn't this the same person who predicted blood running in the streets if the Michigan CCW passed? I think so.
She now wants to belittle my marrage vows, and also wants me keep quiet while she does so. Ain't gonna happen.

why the discrimination? why only people and why only 2?
how about 3 or 4 loving people getting "married" or you know I really love my dog and wouldn't it be great for him to be able to visit me in the hospital!
Marrige should be for all!

In a related development, an organization of "new math" activists known as Save Our Arithmetic, Please (SOAP) have filed suit in federal court to force 1 + 1 = 3 to be legally recognized as arithmetically correect. "It isn't fair for the majority for force its narrow definition of arithmetic on the minority," spokesperson I. P. Freeley said today. "The government cannot legislate mathematics."

I am not in favor of gay marriage, but you will get a lot further with the issue if you do not resort to pathetic, junior high name-calling. Make a real arguement instead of a disgusting slur.

So true. Gay activists support 'group marriage'.

ROFLOL! Sure. Marriage is all of those romantic things - and some obviously unmentioned unromantic things - and more. It's about taxes, death benefits, pensions and company insurance for families. Men and women who have kids are families. Gay couples are high risk for long term, expensive disease and physical problems, the insurance to cover which regular companies cannot afford to pay. Ask any company which offers such benefits. Ask the insurance companies how they calculate the cost of medical coverage.
If you can't go against gay marriage on MORAL grounds, think of the cost to the many, to pay for special privilige for a few. The gay lifestyle has brought us the AIDS "crisis" hype. You won't see anyone changing that lifestyle, especially when gay "marriages" are recognized, the government pays for all of their weaknesses and there really ARE no consequenses for their actions. Not even monetary consequenses.
We're ALREADY paying billions of dollars to fund research for an AIDS vaccine (no consequenses; has anyone developed a vaccine for syphilis??) WHY should we be forced to pay even MORE?? NOW you want us to fund the whole stinking LYFESTYLE CHOICE??

Deb may think she is legally married .Marriage is one man one woman--no other combinations work . Jerry Springer had
a guy on his show said he wanted to divorce his wife --and
marry his TV --makes as much sense as same sex (fraud)
marriage. The lifestyle choice is one of cheap immitation.
i.e there are th eOlympics/now there is the cheap immitation Gay Games. There is Rodeo--there is now the cheap
immitation called Gay Rodeo>there is marriage there is the
cheap immitation called same sex unions.

What an amazing transformation gays have gone thru- overnight. Its absolutely miraculous. They are social conservatives now, who all want to marry, stay monogamous forever, and raise families traditionally.
We are so bullied by gay propaganda that we do not even argue that the whole thing is not a real moral issue. We are taking gay groups at their word... and that word is a complete lie.

There's a great deal of huffing and puffing now about writing a gay marriage ban into the Massachusetts Constitution. At the earliest, an amendment could reach the voters in November 2006. By then, the state is not going to want to turn back the clock. Why is undoing a mistake 'turning back the clock'? When prohibition was overturned was the argument against it - 'hey dont turn back the clock, drinking is old-fashioned!' When we reformed welfare in 1995 many leftists called it "turning back the clock" as they say with any non-liberal innovation. Well. let's turn FORWARD the clock - into a post-gay-activist era where we say "that's enough, you are going too far. Gay marriage is an oxymoron and this is a mistake." The courts have already usurped the power of the people twice, by stopping a prior referedum and now by usurping the power of the legislative branch to regulate such matters. It is time to put the imperial branch of government in its place.

"Just a grateful. "Yes, thank God.""
Well, she can thank the state of Massachusetts. I doubt God wants any credit for this.
