[history]
WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will spend Thanksgiving in Afghanistan before traveling to Iraq with a former Army paratrooper turned senator to meet with soldiers and ask questions about the United States' ongoing nation-building efforts.
The former first lady and Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., have both been critical of the administration's handling of post-combat problems in the war on terrorism, particularly after major military operations ended in Iraq.
Clinton and Reed said Tuesday they were concerned about the current efforts to win the "hearts and minds" of Iraqis.

Once again, on the Pres campaign trail.

Let me get this straight.
Sen. Clinton implies that we shouldn't be there.
Sen. Reed implies that we shouldn't leave too soon.
Confusion in the ranks? Say it ain't so!

If Rodham/Clinton's degenerate husband had been "obsessed" with Saddam and BinLaden the atrocities of the 90's against American interests.. in particular the USS Cole... the 9/11 mass murder of innocent Americans in addition to citizens of 67 other countries may not/ (scratch that...WOULD NOT) have happened...

Excellent analogy as to Jane Fonda.
I can't imagine many troops turning out at all for her, but there will be several and likely those who do turn out will have gripes. The media will make it look as if there are many more than there really are. Get ready for a bunch of clips to be used on the ABC networks.

I remember coming off bunker watch in Viet Nam and being ordered to let the "red cross girls" entertain me playing silly board games when all I wanted to do was get some sleep after about 30+ hours without.
I guess the troops will be ordered to be around the *@#*& for her photo op.

"I do know a little about winning the hearts and minds of people and developing a political strategy that gets people on your side, and I've been amazed and disappointed at how poorly our government has carried that out."She is the most polarizing national political figure in this country, what does she know about winning the hearts and minds of people. Heck, one of the leading woman in Afghanistan told her to mind her own business not so long ago.
"This administration is run by people who have been obsessed with Saddam Hussein for more than a decade,"
Ah yes, let's go back to the good old days when all efforts were made to separate terrorists from the states that sponsored them. That winning strategy, effectively pulling the wool over the eyes of the nation, led us to September 11.

Let her boyfriend osama have the bitch. This would be a fitting revenge for 9.11.01, in many ways. I wonder who would suffer most, osama or hillary in this deal. I'm sure the bent one would be a benificiary.
To: PeteFromMontana
She`s going to Iraq, and then you know what this bonafide sociopath is going to do? No matter what she sees, she is still going to come back here and hit every talk show, every little piece of media attention and say "I went to Iraq and saw first hand the absolute and utter chaos that reigns in that country! It is simply outrageous that this administration has chosen to send our troops into a virtual meat grinder without first planning ahead! It is complete chaos over there!"

I hope they put the part that went over the fence last on her mess tin. Then take her on a tour of the army yard to see the giblets for trussing up traitors.

"I can't imagine many troops turning out at all for her, but there will be several and likely those who do turn out will have gripes."
Nope. It's commonly referred to as "mandatory participation" or "mandatory audience duty". Usually comes into effect for somewhat-less-than-popular politicians and generals who otherwise wouldn't have a military audience. Take notice of the military audiences of President Bush and BJ Clinton whenever they're shown on TV. Notice which one has an extensive selection of hands to choose from (and usually gets to most of them), and which one has to reach for a hand to shake. An excellent indicator of popularity among the troops.
