IT'S AN INSULT

Hillary Clinton is going to Iraq to visit with our troops over the Thanksgiving holiday. Well, it's not like she would want to spend the holiday with her husband, is it.

Does she have a right to go? Certainly she does. Is it smarmy? You bet it is.

Until Hitlary set her eyes on the Presidency she wouldn't give the military the time of day. While her husband was in the White House The Hildabeast used Marines in dress blues to circulate around her parties carrying trays of munchies. Hillary's White House staffers would openly insult anyone in uniform, telling them that "we don't talk to people wearing military uniforms."

Now Shrillary is going to Iraq for her big photo opportunity with men and women in actual combat. Sorry, but this one really rubs me the wrong way.

Did this actually happen? This is very hard to believe taht trained Marines were forced to carry snacks around for guests.

...yeah, i've heard that it did happen, tho not surprising given the beyotch in question. i'd love to hear that she was received with a bad attitude (and boos) by those in the armed forces she plans to visit. my guess is that she's going to have every aspect of her visit filmed for next years campaign commercials...

Well if it is anything like her past, every detail will be controlled. Just like those meetings where people from NY would plead her to run. She is freaking scary.

I had read that the White House made young Navy Officers pass out snacks. When she goes to Afghanistan and Iraq, the military might detest the person, but they will respect the office. They often have to endure the unendurable. God Bless 'em.

She will certainly have photos and videos of her visit, and not one damned liberal outlet or liberal politician will complain if she has military personnel in her campaign commercials. Rather than booing her though, I would prefer that she be met with stone dead silence. But reality sets in here. Even if the military doesn't like her, they will manage to scrounge up enough smiley faces for her visit.

My memory of the story is that Chelsea said the quote and a Marine General was "asked" to serve as a waiter.

The unnamed Marine General supposedly declined and the quote by Chelsea was to a young Marine guarding an entrance while Chelsea was entering a limo.

I don't have a reference, but memory & outrage left me with these tidbits. I'm sure the story is a bit different, but the gist of the story remains the same.

Yes, I remember that, too. She also told Chelsea not to ever talk to anyone in military uniform.

I spoke with a daughter of a secret service agent, and she backed all this up. I remember them telling Chelsea, "we can tell your parents how you speak to us," and Chelsea exclaimed, "go ahead, thats what my parents say themselves." That makes me ill but pulling the wool of an entire states eyes is unbelieveable.

NO IT DID NOT HAPPEN........ As much as I love kicking Hitlery in the balls every chance I get .........truth is keeping us from becoming her. I was EOD attached to USSS TSD for VIP duties. Marines were never used as waiters in my presence. Nor did I ever hear of such from any of the DOD troops tasked to support the White House.

Actually, I don't think they should respect the office. They should respect the person if they are deserving. Senators are not in the chain of command.

It was reported at the time, usually a staff officer asked to serve champagne, appetizers, whatever, because Hillary liked the uniform. Personally, I suspect it a legend, but it fits her character.

Air Force One comes in for a landing at the airport. A ramp is wheeled up and President Clinton appears carrying a pig under each arm. As he comes down the ramp, the Marine at the bottom snaps to a salute.

Clinton says, "You'll have to excuse me. I can't return your salute. My hands are full."

"Yes Sir. I see the pigs Sir!" responds the Marine.

"Now hold on," says Clinton. "These aren't just pigs. These are genuine Arkansas Razorbacks."

"Yes Sir! Razorbacks Sir!" says the Marine.

"I got this one for Chelsea and this one for Hillary," Clinton explains.

The Marine answers, "Yes Sir! An excellent trade if I may say so myself Sir!"
