Willie Nelson is the only musician mentioned that I like. .....but as far as I know, he's not screaming for impeachment like some of the others. Springsteen and Mellencamp are simply morons.

Our motto: Anything but Bush.

My new motto: Anything but paying for these assh*les' music. Kazaa, Gnutella, direct burning of CD copies, but never another penny to them.

Merle Haggard, tsk, tsk..how far ye have fallen. Perhaps he is getting on in years, and has a young(liberal) girlfriend, ala Barry Goldwater. His comparison with Berlin 1938 is pathetic, borderline, drooling out of the corner of his mouth. Why do liberals twist the truth about everything. Freedom of speech is a two way street. They can talk, and others can walk away or turn the channel. Actually it is like Berlin 1938, only Merle and his think-alikes are seated at Goebbells feet taking notes. ..aghh Merle makes me sad...

Green day is way past it's prime. Their last album was such absolute crap that it's amazing they have the nerve to be seen in public again.

Artists clearly agree

So I gather from this article that not one artist supports the President.

Shame. What a pack of blithering idiots.

I look to them all to move to Syria.

"We have a voice and a responsibility to speak out," says Jay-Z, a member of Russell Simmons' Hip-Hop Summit, which aims to register 4 million voters before the 2004 election. "People listen to us."

The fact that people listen to you should be your cue to shut up. You think you know more than the people with top-secret clearance? You're a fool. What you should do is encourage everyone to become educated on their own and then form an opinion.

Doesn't matter a damn bit . The people who listen to them are basically non voters. College age!!! ( and from the Demorat stronghold states )The quality of Springsteen's concerts have regressed to the point where I leave early . He is so into himself it is nauseating ...

It's pretty bad that these primadonnas don't realize the country's laws allow them to express themselves. They don't know how good they have it. Maybe they feel guilty about being so rich from such a simple way of life... singing. Time to heads for Kazaa and hurt them where it counts a bit more. Bwahahaha!!!

"We have been lied to and terrorized by our own government, and it is time to take action."

We did take action, for we elected a Republican President, took the Senate and Congress, and got a tax cut to boot for our actions!

Merle Haggard, who recorded his own anti-war song, "That's the News," this year, says that the attacks on the Chicks "reminded me of things I'd read about Berlin in 1938. It pissed me off."

Hey Merle! What is it you don't like? That she practiced freedom of speech and slurred our President on foreign soil while our fighting men and women were at war so we practiced our own constitutional right to free speech and right to NOT buy concert tickets or CDs? What is it that you don't like?

Sorry, I'm a little steamed!

Yeah right, Merle, the Dixie Chicks were hauled off to a gas chamber.

Sheesh these "artists" have a way with hypebole.

Well, let's go over the list:

Green Day (no career, washed up)

Eddie Vedder (no career, washed up)

NOFX (are they still around? harcore punk band I think, are they played on MTV?)

Tom Morello (formerly the horrible screechy Rage etc., limo liberal, was born wealthy and always talks about "the poor", "the Latinos"...***snort***, did I mention he's horribly ugly?, does he STILL have a career?)

Dixie Chicks (came into country known as the Spice Girls of Country Music. Had a huge hit with the Earl song. Not sure if still relevant to country music though due to unacceptable political antics.)

Don Henley (had a pro-pedophile song at one time, I think it was the dance song, really hasn't been relevant since the 70's with the Eagles)

Willie Nelson (supposedly one of the stalwarts of New Country. I've never liked his voice - too whiny. And he's treated women like dirt. And he's also extremely fugly. Cut your hair HIPPIE!)

Steve Earle (had one good song - copperfield whatever. Has not really been relevant since, except for hardcore fans of semi-celebrity).

Moby (still relevant, good songs, total d*ck and is a weird bisexual wannabe)

JayZ (dating Beyonce, still relevant in the Hip Hop world, but younger hungrier people like 50 cent - who's schtick is totally made up, 50's is that is, younger rappers are going to knock him out soon. He's almost "played out").

Offspring (omg, are THEY still around? They're like 40ish now, still playing rebellious punk pop??)

John Cougar Mellencamp (not relevant except in those small venue type things of hardcore fans. Burned through a lot of women and children)
