The Republican Party is now, unquestionably, the majority party in America. Men who once were listened to in the Democrat Party - Ed Koch, Zell Miller, and Andrew Cuomo - now throw up their hands in frustration at a political party that weighs the political consequences of fighting terrorism.

I agree with what most of this article says. The left's war on America will never quite end, but I believe they are going to have an official D-Day landing with the re-election of Bush. I also agree that the economy is going to be the deciding factor in Bush getting elected, because the left can't touch on national defense.

Unrestricted immigration, the seeds of which were sown in 1965 with a law supported by Ted Kennedy, set forces in motion that will ensure the destruction of our nation. This will be the Left's ultimate victory. Our grandchildren will deal with the aftermath.

With the peak of Republican popularity, we must still remain vigilant to the fact that the left is a very ruthless group.

There is no specific event - no Battle of Midway or Siege of Yorktown - which precisely defines the coming collapse of Leftism,

The author's wrong here. The "Tipping Point" in the collapse of Leftism was the 1994 Congressional Election in which the Republicans won the majority for the first time in forty years.

Regards,

TS

I really don't see how the moral decay and degradation that our nation has undergone can ever be undone. Does anyone use the phrase "pre-marital sex" anymore? The concept is laughable in today's society. Saying that Republicans win and Democrats lose is not the same thing as a victory of right over wrong. It's a hollow victory because the damage has been done and you can't put the genie back in the bottle. The underpinnings of any society are religion, morality, personal responsibility, selflesness, and thrift. Those concepts don't represent the lifestyles of a majority of Americans. Far from it. Hedonism, selfishness, and immaturity characterize too many of us.

I don't believe in false optimism, and I see that the "cultural revolution" has taken root and grown and engulfed our society. How can we turn back the clock now?

Leftists attackers now find themselves the attacked.

First, I think this is true, and these clowns are bewildered at a changing world. Since they no longer monopolize the media, liberal nonsense can be answered using logic and truth, and that scares the bejeebers out of them.

Second, the question is, is it too late? Liberal liars have been trying to destoy this nation, one institution at a time for at least 70 years. They started their attack on the fundamental building block of society, the family, in the 1960's. Is it possible for patriotic people to band together to recover before the whole house of cards tumbles? Can we toss out illiterates on the Supreme Court who claim to be the Keepers of the US Constitution, then start looking to foreign courts for appropriate precidents? Can marriage be saved? How about simple public morality on network TV? The litany is long.

It is fun to watch liberals squirm, though, when one spouts such complete nonsense that emanates from such as the Democratic Party. Then when such as Limbaugh or Coulter respond... Oh, the humanity! Such hysteria is a treasure.

Sometime recently, either Dick Cheney or Don Rumsfeld said, "History never moves in straight lines." That concept impressed me a lot. If we keep that idea in mind, and don't expect everything to go our way 100 percent of the time, this author might just be generally correct. I pray that he is.

We are closer to the tipping point, but still short of it due to the new democrat tactic on judge confirmations. Note that without this unprecedented reinterpretation of the rules, I would agree with the tipping point premise. But our side failed to slap this down when it first appeared, so it has become precedent until we achieve a sufficient Senate majority to overrule this malignant precedent.

The reason this has become critical is that activist judges have pushed the envelope of their share of power far beyond that of their counterparts in the legislative and executive branches. This balance needs to be reestablished, but they will not surrender their ill-won gains voluntarily. The fastest improvement will come with the confirmation of the kind of judges President Bush has been appointing.

But we need more. While the judiciary can change much by their creative reinterpretation, they cannot completely ignore the Constitution - and they do NOT get to rule on the substance of, for instance, an amendment to restore the proper balance of power.

Making examples, or picking off a a few of the worst, is not going to be enough to reverse the damage already done. The people who call this a cultural war are correct. And while this war will not take lives, it must target and destroy a number of false ideas.

The changes in these two nations will not just transform the Middle East, but Islam itself.

No, islam will not transform. It can't, the writtings of the koran will not let it. The only way to change islam for the Mid-East to throw it off. Somehow I doubt it will happen.

Revelations that the ruling Social Democrat Party was infested with Stasi spies and the sleazy way in which Schroeder won his last election will mean that the next Chancellor of Germany will want to mend relations with America quickly.

Hmmm. I haven't heard anything about this. It's not clear if the author has made a mistake between the PDS and the SPD. The SPD is the ruling party in Germany. If you google PDS (not SPD) and Stasi, you get some hits.

Does anybody else know if this is a mistake on the author's part or is the SPD connected to the Stasi?

The main thing that the Left has never appreciated is that THEY are the counter revolutionaries in a revolutionary land. That's a tough row to hoe. As fantastic a job as they did in taking over the eductional system and hollywood and half the political spectrum ... they never could push the pendulem quite over the 'tipping' point.

After all, trying to sell poverty and oppresion in the land of plenty is a hard sell. They're so dumb however they thought they could do it.

Their last ditch stand is environmentalism. 'Modern living will destroy the earth'. Well maybe it could ... if we hadn't adopted most of the correct conservationist positions we have ... but the American people are NOT going to give up their cars, air-conditioning and freedom. Just ain't gonna happen.

HOWEVER ... this may be a moot point as far as the future of planet earth is concerned. Hedonism may succeed where communism failed. The West and ultimately civilization as we know it may be brought down by it's own self serving irresponsibility. Perhaps this is why God gave us Muslims.
