"I didn't think that the eludium core bullets were on the market yet."

The eludiumas are not available yet.

These must have been the FMJHPWCCKA bullets (full metal jacket hollowpoint wadcutter cop killer assault) with the old unobtainium cores.

;-)

"These ARs also had 30-round banana clips in them with 223 rounds, which can penetrate care doors, bodies, windows ... and they travel forever," Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department spokesman Kim Allyn said.

Interestingly, the .223 round is one of the safest as far as overpenetration. A wimpy 9mm pistol round is more likely to go through a wall and hurt an unintended person on the other side.

(Also, if these rounds are so unsafe, why do most law enforcement agencies use them?)

You have to keep in mind that the 223 bullets packed into their banana clips go on forever, so a mere car door would not even slow them down.

So, let me get this straight.

A couple days after the 9th Circuit is vindicated for their unconstitutionalism, these idiots, with "evil" rifles and 30 round mags, proceed to rob(or try to rob) a bank in one of the most hippified counties in the state, after making sure that police are going to be clustered in the immediate area, instead of back on patrol or at the station, which is several miles away.

Why bring all those weapons if you are going to throw them on the ground at the first sign of flashing red lights? I think I smell a deal here, where three idiots were promised a light or non-existant sentence in exchange for toting those ARs and giving some good headlines.

Does this joint have an editor or what?

More likely the editor had a joint... or several.
