They've had many homegrown revolutions. Back in 1977 the fanatics took over.

Many of the Iranians left and came to America. I know many here working hard, raising families and are as American as any of us. Unfortunately, they have horror stories the average American knows nothing about. Most were killed for not bowing to Islamic law.

The liberals and the left attack religion enough in the U.S. but at least they aren't, yet, killing those that don't believe in their ways. Again...YET!

I know...I grew up in Dallas, which has a fair number of Iranians living there. One of my best friends in college was an Iranian girl named Saman; her mother abandoned her father (who wanted to force both of them to wear Islamic dress and turned into a fanatic practically overnight) in 1979 and fled the country with Saman in tow, settled in Los Angeles, remarried, and raised her daughter as a secular muslim. They've all got stories to tell. You don't have to convince me that the regime in Iran SUCKS. :-)
