"The Reagans" is a poorly written, wildly inaccurate, and in general a hatchet job. Conservatives were right to criticize it, CBS was wrong to pull from the network and exile it to Showtime. The best thing you can do with inaccuately-portayed history is to debunk it.
That this program was made the way it was is no surprise from Hollywood. What is surprising (or maybe not) is that most conservatives were apparently fine with (or at least had nothing to say about)the poorly written and wildly inoculate account of Jessica Lynch as portrayed in the recent NBC-TV movie about her. I guess Hollywood's lies and distortions are OK when they serve our political worldview.

When Jessica Lynch is as important to American history as Ronald Reagan, it will be time to get as exercised about her portrayal.

Perhaps we just didn't watch the Jessica Lynch story. I didn't.

Look up any FreeRepublic Jessica Lynch thread in "Search" and then come back and tell us that the media orgy regarding Lynch was "apparently fine" by us.
