Someone I know who is privy to this situation has told me that the Yankees are very wary of re-signing Pettitte. Apparently there is some serious concern about a condition with his pitching elbow that could end his career at any time.

If they do, I'll be surprised. They have an all-star at every position, and they're fixing to trade for the best pitcher in baseball.

We'll see what happens next year, but I have a feeling that the Yankees will be playing late into October.

"The Skankees will still choke."

Hey Joe -- Got to actually get in the hunt to "choke." Bummer about you losing Schilling to Boston for who again??

Unfortunately, the D-Backs are now soooo far into the back of the bus in the Western Division I expect to see them 10 games out by May.
