I found him exceedingly believable. I found it highly unlikely he was even consciously or unconsciously distorting things very significantly and far to ridiculous that he would be lying.

I was adding to the original posters comments that "either he saw it, or he didn't." There are other logical things to be added to that list... "he saw it and lied" or "he didn't see it and lied." These also should be included on the list of things to be tested for.

As to being skeptical. I am convinced that UFOs exist because of personal experience. It is very difficult to be skeptical when one has, along with other witnesses, SEEN a classical flying saucer shaped UFO that displayed unnatural flying patterns under circumstances that could not have been faked or caused the witnesses to mistake what they saw.

I'm not responsible for how

much truth

your underlying assumptions prevent you from considering fairly.

you are so skeptical that it wouldn't matter how accurate your personality etc. assessment skills were.

You are so gullible that you believe that little alien spacemen landed in the woods in England no matter what the evidence (or lack thereof).

I found it highly unlikely he was even consciously or unconsciously distorting things very significantly and far to ridiculous that he would be lying.

But you find it more likely that spacemen landed in the woods in England and there is a large agency of "men in black" who will come and inject you with mysterious chemicals to alter your memory. You also have stated that "millions of people" have been abducted by alien spacemen. Apply Occam's Razor.

I saw a portion of that part of the program.

It did not come across at all PRECISELY to me.

But even if it did, it's a moot issue when faced with other serious facts of the witnesses' observations.

These men were not idiots, were not too tired to know the difference between a lighthouse and a very unnerving craft in the sky etc.

"Puppet masters"? Huh?

Have you refilled your medication recently?

The behavior was consistent with other UFO craft which have demonstrated a long history of being keenly interested in our nuclear weapons and nuke delivery systems--and their annoying habit of disabling our nuclear weapons with laser appearing beams--whether in missle silos, after launch or in bunkers.

Such craft were not amusing or pleasing or cooperating with our government at the time at all, according to reports at the time. Our efforts to intervene have been fruitless or disasterous to our personnel.

His argument has holes big enough to drive a convoy of semi's through.

But your argument of alien spacemen and "abductions" and "puppet masters" is rock solid and filled with hard evidence.

There is reportedly at least one and maybe several technologies which can do something like or equal functionally to

bending space much as a bowling ball on huge rubber sheet across a trampoline frame would bend the sheet

resulting in points vastly far before the bend would end up very close together.

The speed of light limitation has been reportedly trashed for a list of reasons and in a list of ways.

a visit from residents of our own future that have traveled back in time.

Oh, and there's tons of evidence for that. </sarcasm>

I knew this to be your construction on reality when I made the other post.

This is not remotely close to my construction on the realit of the witnesses either in tonight's program or in earlier documentation on it.

I can understand how your biases seem to leave you with no choice but to construe the testimony in such a fashion. I consider such a construction to be a gross distortion of the facts.

I realize you see it as a clarification or disproof of the facts as presented on the program.

Thanks.

Glad to read of it.

Are you on my UFO ping list or would you like to be?

Can you share a lot more detail of your experience?

Not only have "they" never disabled our nuclear weapons after launch, we have never launched any nuclear weapons from a silo.

Now you're just making stuff up. Just like some of the "witnesses" on this program.

If it were ours, there would be no need to send MP's to investigate the the "crash" in the forest between the twin bases.

The other alternative is that this story is pure disinformation, in an attempt to condition the masses.

Well, I recorded the show and will watch it again to see if I missed anything.

My purpose in starting this thread was to have a nice, friendly, fun discussion of the UFO phenomenon.

Occam's razor was left in the dust by the facts a long time ago.

I hold a lot of these puzzle pieces loosely.

However, given my relative and other close friend's involvements with such craft, technologies and black programs over the last 40 years, I no longer have the luxury of disbelieving or wishing it weren't true, even.

AS to a long list of specifics of any particular incident, I just make assessments of those puzzle pieces depending on my experiences with the vast amount of data I've disgested the last 40 years of fairly significant sudy of the topic. And, when it comes to witnesses, I rely a lot of the skills honed through thousands of hours of interviews with thousands of counseling clients. I've been told by a long list of professors, group supervision colleagues and supervisors that such skills, sensitivities, intuitions, discernments are among or at the tops of any they've ever seen in their lives.

You are welcome to scoff at all that as you wish if it helps you sleep any better.

That's why I added the other possibilities to Quix assertion.

The SciFi Channel's assertion that this sighting is more important than Roswell is over the top as well... a mere sighting as opposed to reports of a crashed ship recovered by our military??? Not even in the same league.

Or perhaps some tired, sleepy, confused, and scared airmen 3000 miles away from home at Christmas let their imaginations run away from them while in the woods on a foggy December back in 1980 and it is all just a misunderstanding.
