PS #2: Gentlemen if your wife ever has the "flat-white-all-over-look, be circumspect in your speech and actions. Else you may face the same third degree that the general did. After all, you don't want to be "cut off" for an indefinite period of time...

What about the "Mission Accomplished" banner he was standing in front of on the aircraft carrier?
To: Grampa Dave
I'm wondering if it was spiked by FR censors too - I couldn't open it, even by using "show picture" right click.
To: Jhensy
Yes. The left are losing their minds and are showing a lot of independents what they are.
I would say that it is just beautiful, but many creatures become most dangerous when cornered and desperate.

It must be your browser, because the picture is there.
Sometimes MSN.com drives me up a wall as it will block pictures from certain sites.
Sorry I can't help you.
You might freepmail John Robinson to see if he knows what the problem is.

"This picture (which looks like Couric in her youth) and her current behavior provide a
profound reminder why some women should be treated as nothing more than sex objects
(some men too, as in lefty movie hunks) for use by thinking people." Just scrape off Katie's makeup and see if you think she could be a sex object.
(I agree with the general idea of your comment though.)

You hit the nail on the head, she was definitely in mourning she made it obvious to everyone. How can anyone watch her? NBC execs are idiots to allow her to berate The Today Show with her liberal views and bring down the remaining somewhat partial anchors ( yes Katie is not the only anchor, I know she will find that hard to believe).

Our gal not wearing black at the Unicef Goodwill Gala Celebrating 50 years of Celebrity Advocacy Dec. 3rd 2003 She was awarded
The Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award
Katie Couric, co-host of NBC's Today, was honored by UNICEF with The Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award for her pioneering work as a celebrity advocate. Couric, who recently encouraged millions of Today show viewers to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, has successfully fused her philanthropic, personal and professional interests and become a highly-regarded advocate for children. Couric received the award from NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker.
"If I am fortunate to share any quality with Danny Kaye, it's a sense of responsibility," said Couric. "I am certain I have not changed the world, but hopefully with my efforts, lives can be changed."

Believe that was a declaration of the crew of the Aircraft Carrier and the Air Wing. Their mission had been accomplished.
The President has never used those words as the war continues.

Oh, you're quite right that today Perky wouldn't make the grade as a sex object. However, had she been so treated in her prime of nubile youth, the world might have been a better place, she'd have been better off fulfilling her natural destiny and some guy would have been a lucky stiff (assuming he kept a large enough stick handy to keep her in line).
As Nietzsche put it in Thus Spake Zarathustra:
Du gehst zur Frauen? Vergiß die Peitsche nicht!

Katie Couric didn't disappoint. As soon as the news of Saddam's capture broke yesterday, a number of FReepers began speculating as to how Couric would react to the "bad" news this morning. I for one hypothesized that Katie would be wearing black, and sure enough, she was!
This is from yesterday and I am on a four-ten workweek, so I don't work on Mondays. I got my barf bag and forced myself to watch the "perky one" for a few minutes. She was sooooooooooooooo po'ed about the good news. She made herself look like the perfect idiot she actually is the entire show. Made my day!!
