Drudge has caught OReilly in lies multiple times about the success of his book, and the number of listeners on his radio show. Hence, OReilly has it in for Drudge.

Haven't you noticed BY NOW folks?
1)Bill O'Reilly has a great show...BUT
2)Bill has a thin skin
3)If someone criticizes, questions or otherwise goes after him in a way that he goes after his guests he truly goes ballistic.
4)Bill O'Reilly then SPINS running a SPIN ZONE against whomever he is upset with at the time and pounds away at it constantly.
I am a HUGE FAN of his tv. show, radio show, and his books...
But he is NOT an objective person in a NO SPIN Zone -- no one doing any kind of advocacy program (right or left) can be, and we see that even journalists of all ideological stripes really cannot be totally objective.
He is very very thin skinned and uses his t.v. and radio shows to go after someone and generally when he does that his charges and claims against the person are truly overblown, seeming to be more of a trantrum from a highly paid and highly talented on-the-air-talent than a No Spin commentary.
He has done this repeatedly to people and institutions that I AGREE with him are not objective. He just goes into overdrive with exaggeration, and doesn't let up.
It truly is his Achielles Heel because each time he does it it chips away at his most precious commodity...his credibility.
Again I AM a HUGE fan of his tv show, radio show and books -- and of him. I listen to him and watch him all the time.
But I now take him with a huge grain of salt on most things because I see how he frames criticism of himself.

Whenever I get sick of Sean, I'll turn to O'Reilly. At six when i'm at work, I listen to Mark Levin. Seven at home, it's streaming Larry Elder on the cable modem. I like Laura Ingraham, but her and a few others when you call their show, you get five seconds to talk.

I don't like John and Paul on WABC and that's why I'm getting Rush24.

I would hate to see how sickening O'Reilly would get if he ever managed to get Madame HamHocks on his show.

O'Really has an "I" problem. He can't see - or think - very well with all the smoke in his head (being blown in the other end by his PR people). He tries to be middle-of-the-road and offends both sides with his attempt at "no spin".

TALKOLA TANTRUM; WESTWOOD ONE THREATENS TO PULL $300,000 AFTER LEAK; FOX NEWS HOST O'REILLY ADVISES: 'CRACK-ADDICT' DRUDGE 'SHOULD BE KILLED'

**Update**

Cable host and now talkradio broadcaster Bill O'Reilly was pushed over the edge this week after the DRUDGE REPORT revealed exclusively that $300,000 was promised to O'Reilly's New York City flagship station WOR-AM to carry the program.

Although VIACOMCBSINFINTYWESTWOODONE radio head Joel Hollander publicly denied to reporters that compensation was being paid to affiliates for carrying O'Reilly -- behind the scenes on Tuesday, Hollander threatened to pull the payout guarantee to WOR, blaming the station for the DRUDGE REPORT leak!

Meanwhile, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, Los Angeles' KABC-AM is receiving $250,000 in outdoor advertising from VIACOM in exchange for clearing The Bill O'Reilly Radio Program.

A similar comp deal has also been promised to O'Reilly's San Francisco affiliate.

Difficulty clearing O'Reilly in the Washington, DC market raised the payout price to $200,000, according to insiders -- a payout that was rejected by all major stations in the region, including ABC's WMAL-AM.

Just as O'Reilly showed signs of increasingly reckless behavior.

"There is no other cure than to kill Matt Drudge," O'Reilly charged on the IMUS in the MORNING radio show on Wednesday.

"I just want to tell everybody that Matt Drudge is smoking crack - right now, in South Miami Beach on Washington Avenue... And the authorities should know it."

This reporter is currently in London, England, not South Beach, and I have never smoked crack.

More O'Reilly lies.

[But for a couple hundred thou, heck, I'd even carry O'Reilly Radio.]

Oh dear... that would be a volcanic plumes of puke alert to see O'Reilly. One thing we can count on is that Hill will be wearing a black pants suit.

Some time ago, Drudge had O'Reilly on his Sunday night radio show. Drudge had uncovered O'Reilly's plan to launch a radio show to compete with Rush Limbaugh, soon after Rush had announced his deafness. Drudge confronted Bill O', and O'Reilly stated there was no such plan. A few months later O'Reilly had indeed launched his radio show, and was again lambasted by Drudge as a liar. Soon after O'Reilly went on the Imus morning radio show, and ranted that Drudge was a crack addict, lays around south beach all day smoking crack, and that Drudge should die!

Bill is a "lot" thin skinned. He had better get over it.
The DNC will keep buying Hillary's books and drive him up a wall. Let it be Bill. It ain't worth it. Get on with the business at hand. No need to pick a book fight with people that can manipulate numbers. Every day is a gift. Bill is a success. Enjoy it Bill.

Within the last few days I heard O'gasbag blathering about assault weapons. It was obvious he wouldn't know an "assault" weapon if one bit him on the a**. Bill is so full of hot air he's a one man global warming event (Bill also frequently assures us that he believes in global warming, just to prove he's open-minded). The guy's ignorance is just too astounding at times. Even though he defends the "conservative" line in his back-handed way, I can't take him seriously. He complains constantly about mean things being written about him on the internet, and he'd put a stop to it if he could.

You might be right. O'Reilly has to be one of the most self-absorbed personalities I've seen in my lifetime.

Always surprised that so many FReepers react SO negatively to O'Reilly. I enjoy his wisdom and his exposing of "spin." His arrogance can get unpleasant but so does Rush's arrogance and nobody on this board seems to complain about that.

As for his beef with Drudge, O'Reilly's ratings numbers for "The Factor" are published there showing him whipping the butt of all other comers and Fox whipping butt of CNN across the board.

So how can O'Reilly compare Drudge to Moore, not to believed? Something doesn't make sense. Drudge's material is mostly linked to newspapers....what I use anyway.

O'REILLY IS A SELF CENTERED, ARROGANT BLOWHARD. Other than that, he is an assanine, blovating, loudmouth that does not deserve a television show.

In summary, he sucks.

O'Reilly has no core beliefs, at least when it comes to his show.

His positions, though internally consistent, are all over the map from issue to issue.

For instance, he is an environmental extremist, but he is also a fiscal conservative.

The plan is to suck people in who watch/hear him espouse a position on a certain topic that is identical with theirs.

"This guy is one of us" the hapless viewer/listener thinks.

The fact that he/she disagrees with the next ten positions O'Reilly takes does not phase him/her.

The one out of ten times they agree with O'Reilly is what keeps them hangin' on.

O'Reilly bats his eyes too much and seems too nervous to be a man. ...more like a very sassy granny. Was he once a woman? Did he not have a good father?
