Mertank Foundation...
I've recently begun looking for another job. One popped up on monster.com that I took an interest in so I sent my resume over. It was for a security coordinator position. Basically, I would be in charge of maintaining site security for the company.
Well, I got a call from their representative, a Mr. Joel Havner. He arranged an interview with me for yesterday.
The interview was scheduled for 5:30pm. I arrived on time noting the layout of the property. The building was surrounded by a 6 foot wrought iron fence. I was buzzed in through the gate and instructed to park and go into the building.
I did as requested and noted the entrance to the building was an airlock vestible arrangement. The doors were automated and made with bullet resistant glass. Inside, I met Mr. Havner in the lobby. The man appeared frail and in desperate need of some good nutrition. He was very pleasant and cordial. We went back to his office to do the interview. On the way, I noticed that along the hallway walls were framed clippings of news paper articles relating to Lyndon LaRouche. I thought it slightly odd but shrugged it off.
The interview went well for the first five minutes before Mr. Havner began slipping into what sounded to me like an indoctrination speech. He preached about changing of society, the environment, and other greenie issues. I began to feel very uncomfortable at this point and asked what the job would entail.
He dove right in. I would be in charge of creating a security team to keep the employees safe. They would pay to send me to Gunsite for firearms related training. He then began explaining that while guns were bad and evil that for the security of the people there, they would be necessary. All the firearms training was to be basic handgun level material. I decided at that point that this job wasn't for me and began to needle the man. I asked about higher level training and training with sub machine guns. He explained to me (with a straight face) that SMG's were uncontrollable and not in the image that they wanted.
The listing on Monster stated a salary of $42,000 yr. When I arrived, Mr. Havner stated the salary was $9.00 an hour. At this point, I told him that I didn't think this was the right position for me. He ignored my comment and attempted to continue with the indoctrination.
He stated that the organization was geared towards making positive changes in society. First and foremost was gun control. Events such as Knob Creek and other public shoots should be banned he claimed. He then asked me if I had ever heard of the Creek. I nodded and he asked what I'd heard. I told him I'd been married at the fall 2001 shoot. He thought I was kidding until I showed him the pictures on the internet. At that point, his whole attitude changed. He rushed to get me out of the building and off the property.
When I got home, I sent a notification to monster.com concerning the misleading information on the ad. This morning, the listing was gone from the search.
I wanted to share this experience with everyone just because, I'm still laughing at the way Mr. Havner acted once he realized that I'm not a leftist, I am a conservative.

This was nothing more than elitism at its worst.

Are you familiar with the term ZOT? I think you ZOTted Mr. Havner.
Frightening, isn't it? They think they're entitled to special powers over the rest of the American people.
Only they are trustworthy? It's insane. No joke. It's insanity. Delusions of grandeur.
I did a search as well and didn't come up with anything on the company either. It is a new organization according to Mr. Havner and I think it's going to be a PAC.

These lefties live in a strange little world. It's like the Twilight zone. They have an evil alternative reality they're living in.
This is a bait and switch tactic.

I thought like, maybe they captured a mermaid and were holding her in a tank and that's what all the security was for. The connection with LaRouche fits, 'cause he probably has a fixation on mermaids since seeing that Disney cartoon with the nice music and all and guns would be needed to keep evil forces like the Queen of England from kidnapping the mermaid...
