Amen, may there never be another need. (BTW, the name is KLAMATH, the other spelling was my own typo...sorry).

But, human nature being what it is, and given the inroads that have already been made...I would word it like this:

"May there never be another Klamath because of the sure knowledge of those who would foist such travesties upon us that there are resolute, moral men and women of courage and reason, supported by the Hand of Providence, who will stand firmly against it and not allow it to come to pass."

Not that I am aware of...but certainly related somewhere back down the line.

My ancestors all came out of Georgia and Alabama clear back to the mid-1600's, and from England before that. Very possible that branches of the family spread out all over from there though.

Is that because you can choose between Tide and Cheer? Between Cherrios and Bran Flakes?

Can you join with your like minded friends and neighbors and run an ad complaining about politicians right before an election? Do you remember when the First Amendment protected political speech? Do you remember who signature's is on the law that abolished it?

Can you carry or even own a firearm for your personal protection without the blessing of the government. Do you remember the 2nd Amendment?

Is your income yours to do with as you see fit or does the government take it's cut before you see it?

Can you rent a room in your own home to whomever you choose or is your decision subject to government oversight and you to a lawsuit if you don't toe the line?

Can you do as you please with your property if it is deemed to be 'wetlands' by some petty bureaucrat?

Can you hire and fire people at your business without government oversight and do so without fear of a lawsuit because of some form of 'discrimination'?

My response is only limited by time. There are a lot more examples.

Semper Paratas is the creed and motto of the U S Coast Guard and as a former Coastie who ran SAR boats I am interested as to how u know this?

I have friends in the guard...one of them, 68-69 Tonkin Gulf here on FR.

That motto is a good one to compiment the U.S> Marine motton and the special forces motto.
