I have a friend who has a tabletop tree she stores, yes, under a sheet, in a closet. All she has to do is take it out, freshen up the ornaments, lift up the branches in case any have been pushed down, and VOILA! she's done.

I am going to make up a sign for her. I hope she doesn't read it here. Hmmm, maybe I should delete this post.

But I DO like that idea. It's just so cute.

I miss talking to you too, very much. Things have eased up, business wise, this last few days because people know that they can't buy something for a Christmas present right now and be sure they will get it in time.

Right after Christmas it will be crazy busy again as people who were given money for Christmas go to the internet to spend it.

Well, the good news is that your business is doing well, and will even after the holidays.

Mine tapers off as soon as Christmas eve ends - 3/4ths of seasonal help walk out the door, and the night crews leave when inventory is done. Both locations will be finished with inventory by the 11th and 17th, and then it's time for a breather, and I can finally raise my prices. When I raise my prices during the "season", the regulars think I'm doing it to benefit from the seasonal help, who frequently are working an extra job just for the holiday season.

I'm getting killed on my soda and candy and pastry prices, and have GOT to raise my prices. So I can't wait for inventory to end and the remainder of the seasonal help to be gone, and then, BINGO! I can raise those prices. I'm practically giving away my candy and Hostess pastry - the prices have gone up so much.

Some day soon, we'll be able to talk again. I'm looking forward to it.

Have a good Christmas. Talk to you New Year's eve like last year?
